Still one of the best machines in its class, the Humax is a very capable PVR

Attractive design ; BBC iPlayer and internet radio function ; easy to operate ; excellent picture quality ; punchy sound

Still no Sky Player functionality

Humax HDR-FOX T2 review

The Humax HDR-FOX T2 is the brand's latest PVR, enabling you to enjoy subscription-free HD broadcasts while its Freeview+ credentials mean that you can pause and rewind live TV, or set the box to record an entire TV series for you.

Humax HDR-FOX T2 review

We've long been fans of Humax's PVRs, right from the PVR-8000T, through to the HD-FOX T2, which we reviewed around a year ago. Few Freeview PVRs can equal Humax's models for ease of use and intuitive operation, and the HDR-FOX T2 is no different.

Packed with features, but still an expensive purchase considering the limited number of HD broadcasts. However, this is the best Freeview HD PVR around, and also has iPlayer built-in.

image quality & range of features

playback of recordings could be more straightforward-involves a 2step process, which is not intutive. would benefit from a button marked 'recordings'. also the button used to delete a programme is not called 'delete'. these are probably minor niggles.

Humax HDR-FOX T2

This product is a good idea poorly executed. Having 2 receivers is a good idea. So is HD reception. The menu and remote system are easy to use.

The receivers are poor quality. I have never been able to get good reception on a number of channels including Film4. It is always broken. If I connect up my older Sony recorder I get all the missing channels. Sadly it doesn't have HD or 2...
