It's been three and a half years since the last major TiVo release and while the company has offered some new features since -- via hardware revisions,

Very fast performance ; Six tuners ; Now comes with an RF remote ; Out-of-home streaming now an option

No HDMI-CEC ; Can be pricey with lifetime service ; Out-of-home streaming isn't always smooth ; Upgrading from an old TiVo is still tedious

The new TiVo Roamio addresses almost every major complaint we had previously. In short, it's most definitely the TiVo you've been waiting for.

The six-tuner, 3-terabyte Roamio Pro finally gives the TiVo faithful all the features they've wanted for years. No more add-ons, the TiVo Roamio, the company's best DVR yet, has it all built in.

Supports streaming and download to Android and iOS devices. Integrated Wi-Fi and MoCA. Six tuners. 450-hour HD recording capacity. Online content from Amazon, Blockbuster, Hulu Plus, Netflix, Pandora, and YouTube.

great product with even better iPhone/iPad apps.

great dvr plus even better apps for iPhone and iPad, can watch live or recorded shows anywhere. can even make your iPhone a remote control to change channels if too lazy to walk across the room. now that's a product.

able to access all stations plus all streaming from one box.

pricey, also need to pay monthly service fee, but still way worth it.

Wonderful for people who want to watch TV at their convenien

We do not watch programs when they come on. We record everything and then watch the shows at a time that is convenient for us. The TIVO model we bought has 6 tuners so we have not run into a problem of finding too many programs we are interested in...
