I wish this worked. I have a ton of old slides that are degrading that need to be converted. The resolution is so bad! I should have read the reviews before I wasted my valuable time and $ on this. I am returning. Too bad, I really need this right now...

Once you have scanned the images to a PC there are a range of software products that can improve the original or remove things like scratches or marks but that is beyond the range of this product. It would however improve the value if something of the...

It said when I purchased the hp 4200 maintenance kit that it was a new OEM Kit. To my surprise, its refurbished. Quite disappointed.......

I bought the product today and I am also disappointed. My slides come out like negatives as well and I can't work out how to transfer the pictures to my PC. So, I guess I'll be taking mine back as well. I accidently clicked on "excellent" above and I...

I bought this for two friends and I have been using one for over 2 years works great when I take it into Libraries and history centers that have pictures I want to scan without taking them with me.
Should have none there would be a problem when the owners manual says to ignore danger warning on drivers. Got it to work once and never again - finally threw it away.I will never by PenPower gear again.
the worst item I have ever purchased thru Amazon, very dissappionted, the Item was said to be used, but in good condition,it wasnt scratches all over it,it said it worked perfectedly,it didnt , it didnt even light up with three, different new sets of...
It works well under Windows XP (running inside VM), and Linux (using sane, the buttons is not functioning)
If you have a small business, get one that will last. The time and lost sales isnt worth the cheap price.

Easy to Use, Fast
This product was a waste of time and money. i spent £50 on a second hand scanner and it works faster and is more reliable for use. also the photos are much better quality :)
What can I say. It's the OEM replacement kit, but it is grossly overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, it's the only game in town. The alcohol preps are more or less useless as is the cleaning cloth.
not bad, but takes a long time still as you need to very carefully check everything for little mistakes.
The closest thing to a dedicated film scanner. When scanning film, the F1 yields far superior results than previous models.
Quick, quiet and easy to use. Great results, excellent software. Very versatile.
Great for hobbyists, not so great for pro's, if you shoot action in low light, look elsewhere. Beautiful snapshots in regular lighting conditions.Great for hobbyists/semi-prosPros:Good quality, easy to use in auto, nice display.Cons:Lens cap. Hard...
Price ($180 - $100 rebate) and hardware
I have used the Canoscan 4000, the Minolta 5400 and the Nikon 8000 before getting the 9000. Without a doubt, the best scanner for 35mm as well as Medium Format that I have used. The colors are just about perfect. I use the Nikon software as well as...
After 8 years, still runs great.
This is a fairly decent scanner with some useful features and a few quirks. The first scanner that I received was faulty. By a diligently searching the Web and then fighting the HP automated phone system, I managed to get through to HP technical...
Brillient scanning quality. Loads of back up from HP. Great pictures / results! Very pleased with this Amazon product!
If you want a photo scanner then this is fine. I was looking for a document scanner. It only produces JPeg images, not PDFs, and whilst for many things that's fine, it wasn't what I needed. You can't use it directly with a PC, it is entirely stand-alone.
Inexpensive office scanner comes with an automatic document feeder but isn't the fastest model available.
