LG G Pad 8.0

Cheap, sure, but only cheerful if you can accept the compromises

Cheap ; Boasts some excellent features ; Superb battery life

Underpowered ; Low-res screen ; Camera is disappointing

and the G Pad 7.0, which are also being launched at the same time. The internals are practically identical across all three devices, with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, 800 x 1280-pixel IPS screen, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

LG G Pad X 8.0 review

Guess what! You can actually buy a decent tablet for only $50. Aside from the $50 Amazon Fire , there's the LG G Pad X 8.0. The catch with the LG? It's only offered for $50 with a two-year AT&T contract . Otherwise, it costs $250 retail, which, in my...

The LG G Pad X 8.0 only costs $50 with a two-year AT&T service contract. It has a lightweight and portable design, sharp screen and full-size USB port. The built-in IR blaster lets you use it as a remote control.

The $50 price tag is half the story. You still have to pay extra for monthly cellular service.

Skip the LG G Pad X 8.0 if the thought of a tablet two-year contract seems ludicrous, but if you're cool with a commitment, a $50 initial buy-in can't really be beat.

LG G Pad 8.0 V480 Tablet Review

Chicken-breasted long-distance runner. LG offers an 8-inch tablet for less than 200 Euros (~$254) that has an excellent battery life dubbed G Pad 8.0. However, the runtimes are at the expense of having a weak SoC, which is usually found in entry-level...

Decent IPS screen, Excellent battery life, Expandable storage, LTE version optionally available, Latest Android, Useful, preloaded software, Dual-band Wi-Fi

Relatively weak SoC, Middling outdoor suitability, Minor lags, Weak speakers

LG's G Pad 8.0 V480 is an 8-inch tablet where some compromises have to be made. Although the screen's resolution is high enough, some contenders have more to offer. Its performance is on par with many of its rivals, but they have been in the market for...

Very easy to operate

Bought this to replace a Google Nexus 7 which was unrepairable. Easy to use very similar to previous tablet. Bright screen easy to navigate and a little lighter than the Google nexus God value
