Consumer review (newegg.com)

Was a great drive...

Out of the blue the drive decided to die on me today and unfortunately I forgot to back up some important documents so those are lost. I don't think I used it that much as it was mainly my boot drive. Also died after the warranty expired so there will...

When it worked, it worked well and was reliable

Died after 4 years

Still running!

This was the first SSD I used, haven't built a computer without one since

I have 2 of these in separate computers, running as boot drives since 1-18-13

not a single problem

Great as long as it lasted

Wouldn't recommend, and will replace with a Samsung

Great as long as it lasted. Great price at the time I bought it.

Only lasted a little over 3 years of VERY light use. This drive was installed in a PC at my home that is used only rarely because I use Apple products most of the time. I guess I'll stick to Samsung after this. I have installed multiple Samsung SSD's...

Bought this drive to speed up my rig (Disappointed)

I would never recommend a product that is blatantly over rated

It hasn't died yet

This drive is way over rated. Average read/write is about 120MB/s using Hd Tach and HD Tune. This drive was cheap when other SSD's were not (about 2 or 3 years ago), and now I see why, it's about half the speed of the Samsung Hard drive I replaced with...

RIP Kingston HyperX 120GB - A sudden and shocking loss.

No warning with a CDI showing 100% Health. So sad, so frustrating.

Worked fine since I received it in 09/12. Had 100% Health 3 days ago.

Out of nowhere computer crashed. Reboot wouldnt get past SMART check. Connected to USB and passed WD Lifeguard but shows a capacity of 0Gb (zero). Cannot access and cannot recover.

What an SSD Should Be

- Good $/GB - Proper read/write specs for an SSD - Lasts forever! I'm going on almost 4 years and loving it!

- Not a well known brand? I don't care, quality product is quality.

Running strong since 2012

I even put these in RAID-0 and just kept Steam games and temp downloads on the array. Never once had a failure or issue with them. They're still going actually, just not in the array anymore due to a computer switch.

-Very Reliable

-None

Great Customer Service, Great SSD

Highly recommend

Amazing SSD, been using it for more than a year know and have loved it. I've had a few errors with the first one I had, culminating in a complete loss of function, but I was able to recover all data and was sent a replacement. Kingston is an amazing...
