Intel offers a optimization utility for their SSD. Gskill offers a format utility. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
Cheap, fast, silent and runs cool
Within 4 months drive went bad. RMA'd received new drive seemed fine. 2 weeks later it hangs, reinstalled OS and working. 3 Months later drive hangs for no reason at all. Was unable to reinstall OS(unable to read from source) due to something in drive...

lasted almost a year
It's lasted almost a year to date. But then, like everywhere else, it has died. I was simply working on a word document and then BSOD. Completely out of the blue. 3 different PC BIOS won't recognize the drive. I was hoping maybe mine would be the...

Great drive, great company and good service, but i feel that i should not have had to replace one within 6 months.
Super fast drive. Using in desktop for the OS (Win7) and it has never put a foot wrong. I absolutely love it
Got one for my laptop, seeing as how the standard drive died on me (figured it had something to do with having it in my backpack while biking to campus) so i got another of these for my lappy. 6 months later, going to open the internet, it completely...

A littel background: I have a good bit of experience building PC's. I have built every PC I've owned since Windows 97. I am not an "overclocker" and do nothing fancy or off label or tricky to enhance performance. This was my first effort at SSD and...
While it worked it was great. Quick to boot up, snappy response. I liked it a lot. Games loaded so much faster and scene transitions were great
I have had a similar problem as a few mentioned below. My BIOS just stops recognizing this drive. I have had to reinstall windows a few times and then I get a few weeks of use and then it's gone again. I'm afraid I'm going to retire it and go back...

My other SSD is an Intel, has slower write speeds but is much more stable. and is working fine after 9 months. wish I would have stuck with Intel. I went to G.Skill because of faster write speed. I think that was a bad decision.
Had great writing speed
was not too stable from day 1 had to reinstall windows multiple times. after 80 days windows stoped booting. Motherboard would not see the drive at times. now it will not see the drive hardly at all. Used up all my activations for programs...

I gave in and bought this as an experiment. Put windows and essential components ONLY on the SSD, install everything else to the other internal 500gb HDD. Can't wait for the price of solid state memory to drop.
PC boots in SECONDS
Price vs capacity. It's like two dollars & fifty cents per Gigabyte as of Feb 2011, compared to a regular terabyte drive for six cents per gigabyte. If my math is correct that's over a four thousand percent difference

I bought this to use as a primary drive in my Asus G73JW. I had read how it would speed up my system but had NO idea! Windows 7 clean install took all of 10 minutes and only another 10 to install all of the updates. I have Office 2010 on it as well and...

If you want to squeeze more life out of an older system, SSD is the way to go, but I'd have serious problems recommending this drive.
Purchased this drive in November, and installed it in an old Latitude D630 laptop. Performance and battery life increased dramatically--I was considering replacing it until I added the SSD
Died this morning. The drive just doesn't show up. I've tried different systems (even plugged it into a Mac just to see if I could read data from it)
