InFocus IN10 review

A small-format projector designed to be taken with you

Small and lightweight ; Easy to set up ; Good data projector

Noisy fan ; Not brilliant with multimedia

A handy and portable offering for first-timers

Infocus Work Big IN10

When Infocus talks portable, they don't beat about the bush. The Work Big IN10 is a pocket rocket of a projector. It projects good quality images an...

Compact and lightweight, integrated speakers

Brightness, contrast and colour reproduction problems at default settings; overbearing white levels; uses proprietary M1-DA port; too expensive

The Infocus Work Big IN10 is as tiny as business projectors come and can produce a reasonable image after calibration. It would best be suited to medium-sized boardrooms due to the throw distance and heat production.

InFocus Work Big IN10

This projector weighs just 2.4 pounds, yet offers sharp resolution and plenty of brightness.

Very light weight ; Intuitive remote control ; Above-average brightness uniformity

Noisy cooling fan ; No low-power mode ; Slow cooldown time

The InFocus Work Big IN10 is a solid ultraportable projector at a reasonable price. However, it is facing some tough competition in the featherweight end of the projector market. The Dell M209X is only slightly heavier yet significantly brighter and...

InFocus IN10

The IN10 is impressively bright for its size, compact and has excellent lamp life. Just don't expect excellent colour quality.

Compact and lightweight, Long lamp life

Relatively poor colour reproduction quality, Noisier than larger models, No quiet/eco mode, M1-DA connector, No HDCP support

InFocus IN10 Review

The IN10 is an excellent choice for traveling presenters who want to carry a lot of power in the smallest and lightest package possible.

The InFocus IN10 is far from the first microportable projector, but it is arguably one of the best. With nearly 1600 real lumens, a 4,000 hour lamp, and quiet operation, the IN10 can be had for street prices around $1250. If you need tons of power in a...

InFocus IN10

The IN10 is a basic but very capable ultraportable projector. Special cables are required, although an M1-DA to VGA lead is provided in the box. The 4,000-hour lamp life is impressive and economical.

Relatively poor colour reproduction quality, Noisier than larger models, No quiet/eco mode, M1-DA connector, No HDCP support

The IN10 is impressively bright for its size, compact and has excellent lamp life. Just don't expect excellent colour quality.

Stay away if you care about color

We got this to do powerpoint presentations on the road, but can't use it now because it will not display our client's logos in the right color! Orange looks brown, yellow looks green. I had read other good reviews on this projector elsewhere but it has...

Small and portable

The color is awful. It can't reproduce orange and yellow at all. Adjusting settings make the image muddy

Bad color

I could try and RMA this to see if I just got a bad one, but I 'm in a time crunch and will probably try to return it. I'll probably go with a Samsung, or another brand I trust more.

This projector is very small, and portable. It comes with all the right cables and, an handy neoprene carrying case. It is very bright.

This projector is unusable - the yellow looks terrible. I don't know if I got a bad one, or if the color came at the cost of the size. I have tried all the color tweak options available, and the color looks bad.

Product Specifications

The InFocus Work Big IN10 ultra-mobile projector is the technological equivalent of a pint-sized solar burst you can take anywhere. Built around innovative, compact optics and advanced DLP imaging technology the 1800-lumen IN10 will ensure your brightest idea really sees the light of day. No matter how large your presentation space, the IN10 will project a clean, vivid image while supporting both front and rear projection. Integrated XGA native resolution will flawlessly display the most media-rich presentations, including automatic adjustment for 16:9 video and true HD sources. The IN10 is very lightweight and easily fits in your hand - half the weight and size of most other "mobile" projectors! Enabling you to travel light while maintaining full presentation functionality is what the IN10 is built for, so InFocus integrated key hardware features designed for ease of use. Such features include the onboard 1.3:1 zoom lens - an ideal hybrid for utilizing close quarters such as a trade-show booth, or taking presentations to a conference room. Also, the ultra-precise lens-mounted zoom and focus control enables you to adjust your image anywhere at anytime without fragile internal motors to fret over. The IN10 uses a standard 4000-hour lamp, this amount of life will give you years of maintenance-free projection with nothing to clean or replace. This means projector air filters are a thing of the past and you'll never be embarrassed by a filter warning on-screen during your most important presentation. To make life easier on the road, InFocus has incorporated all the connectivity you'll ever need in the new IN10. For high-resolution video and data sources, the integrated M1-DA port offers expansion to component, HDMI and VGA-computer connections. Also, the onboard composite and s-video inputs enable quick connectivity in parallel with the audio input and internal speaker to provide a full multimedia experience for the audience. This evolved approach to connectivity means when the IN10 is plugged-in to the InFocus LiteShow II wireless device users can finally present data, audio and video wirelessly!
