Gigabyte Aivia M8600 Hybrid Gaming Mouse Review

When thinking of gaming peripherals, many think of names like Razer, Steelseries and Logitech. However, not all that long ago we took a long hard look

Wired and wireless abilities ; 5 onboard profiles ; Good looks ; Amazing list of accessories included ; Great battery life ; Quick Change battery system is well designed ; Great Software

Ergonomics of the mouse take some getting used to ; Long battery life comes at the expense of weight ; Software not compatible with other Gigabyte mice ; Quick Change battery latch is small and difficult to manipulate quickly ; Have to use wired...

The all new Aivia M8600 denotes a radical departure from previous design philosophies for Gigabyte and rightly deserves to be part of the

While the Gigabyte Aivia M8600 gaming mouse offers customization and all the bells and whistles to keep an avid gamer happy, its heavy design makes it difficult to wield.

Ambidextrous design. Wired and wireless option.100-6600 dpi.1,000Hz report rate. Carrying case. Customizable software. Up to five different profiles.

Weight makes the mouse a little unwieldy. Uncomfortable design. Scroll wheel very resistant. Wired cable tough to remove.

Gigabyte Aivia M8600 Review

If only looks could kill.

80+ hours of combined wireless performance, stylish, ambidextrous, onboard memory

too heavy, DPI changers not ideally placed, big and bulky, cannot assign buttons without plugging in

And then you have the extra battery as well. Once the main battery runs out, you can swap it with the extra one and keep the main battery on charge directly through the wireless receiver, much like the C.A.T 9. With upto, at least, 80 hours of combined...

Gigabyte Aivia M8600 Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

Back in October 2010 we took a look at the Aivia K8100 keyboard from Gigabyte. That high end gaming product was the result of the Gigabyte design team being let loose to create the best product they could. At the end of the review we noted that the...

Gigabyte M8600 Mouse

Cannot recommend to others. I had the Razer Lachesis and it was better in almost all aspects but was just not comfortable to play with.

Somewhat configurable buttons. (See Cons for more details.) ; Wired or Wireless capable ; I play left handed so one of the buttons on the left side is usable with very little effort. Only the Logitech G3 seems to have this feature ; Good weight and...

V1.02 of Ghost Software will not run after installed ; Had to use V1.00 in Win 7 64-bit ; All buttons not individually configurable ; Top left & Right buttons are for DPI settings only and cannot be re-configured. This is too bad compared to other mice...
