Is the super-slim D900 a worthy successor to the excellent Samsung D600?
. You may not think that 20g makes much of a difference, but believe me, if you hold a D600 in one hand and a D900 in the other, the latter is clearly lighter. It feels lighter in your pocket too.

The main gripe the fans had with the Samsung D900 was omitted radio, though all other vendors proposed solutions, packing 3 Mpix camera and flagship positioning, had radio inside. The release of the Samsung D900i aims to satisfy exactly this need of...
Handsets thickness is 12.9mm which is typical for modern day solutions, handset is positioned as œslim and is part of Ultra Edition, this is fashion tribute. Handsets size is 103.5x51x12.9 mm, weight 83 grams (manufacturer states 93 grams for some...

The Samsung D900i is a subtle aesthetic upgrade to its predecessor, the [[prodid:2483]]. It adds an FM radio and a sleek metallic finish to an already...
Sleek metallic finish, Design, Excellent slider, Display, User interface
Minimal upgrades over predecessor, No 3G, no document viewer, No TV out cable, Fingerprint magnet
The D900i adds an FM radio and a sleek metallic finish, but the lack of document editor and TV-output cable are very strange omissions. Regardless, it's still an excellent handset on the whole.

The D900i looks great but doesn't quite make the cut when it comes to function.
For Rs. 12,000, it’s really not worth it. To be honest, if Samsung drops the price to under 10K I would consider it. But with a camera that doesn't cut it and a music player that is set to tear your eardrums and a few odd quirks with the settings, I...

Samsung's D900 proves that it's entirely possible to take an existing phone design and put it on a serious slimming diet. Read our Australian review.
Sleek design. Large dialling pad. 3-megapixel camera.
Directional pad is slightly flaky. Power socket feels loose.

Like a Fashion Week catwalk model, the Samsung SGH-D900i garners most of its appeal from being super-skinny, shiny, and appearing to have not much on.
Intuitive, easy to navigate interface. Slim, comfortable form factor. Semi-auto 3MP camera with flash.
Smudge-magnet screen. Call interface may be a bit too cutesy.
Samsung's SGH-D900i is a phone with an identity crisis -- ultimately a 2G phone with 3G multimedia aspirations. It does a couple of core things pretty well, but not well enough to make an exciting name for itself in a crowded 2G market.
