OnePlus 5T review

The flagship killer returns in style

Flagship power at affordable price ; Premium look with headphone jack ; Face unlock and fingerprint reader

Display still ‘only’ full HD ; No expandable storage ; Arrives with older Android 7

While there are a few small compromises to consider - no QHD display, stereo speakers, expandable storage or standout camera - the OnePlus 5T represents some of the best value for money in the market. You won’t be disappointed.

OnePlus 5T review: The flagship killer is back, bigger and better than ever

Although it isn't as cheap as OnePlus phones from years gone by, this - on first impressions - still seems like an incredible phone, that just also

Big and vivid 18:9 ratio display ; Dash Charge is great as always ; Solid ergonomic build ; Speedy and smooth performance

Still no QuadHD resolution ; No Android Oreo yet ; No IP-rated water or dust resistance ; Camera not quite a flagship

Being hyper-critical, there are still a couple of areas that need improving if the OnePlus 5T is going to be a genuine killer of flagship phones. It would be nice if the camera offered that "instantly brilliant" automatic performance of the Samsung...

OnePlus 5T

OnePlus 5T review: Despite the OnePlus 5 being out for barely 5 months, it now has a successor: the OnePlus 5T. We take a look at the new device.

Good OLED screen ; Slick software experience ; Still excellent value ; Seriously fast

No water-resistance ; Average camera

When the OnePlus 5T first leaked it was rumoured the new 18:9 display would be complemented by a much bigger battery. Those rumblings didn’t come to pass though, and the 5T ships with the same 3300mAh cell as its predecessor.

OnePlus 5T review

UPDATE: Sandstone white model tested - Bigger screen. Better camera. Same price. Need we say any more?

18:9 aspect screen brings it bang up to date ; Slight camera improvements ; Same great performance & battery life

No waterproofing, wireless charging ; Camera quality still middle of the pack ; A bit too soon?

The latest phone to super-size its screen keeps the price right, making it a great value choice

OnePlus 5T review

If you bought a OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T might annoy you by its mere existence. Is the six-monthly flagship phone cycle ever a good idea?

OnePlus 5T review: Star Wars edition launching in India

OnePlus' refreshed flagship has a swanky new screen and a camera that's intended for use in low-light; and a Star Wars edition is on the way

Big 18:9 screen ; Same size as before ; Reasonable price

No microSD expansion ; No waterproofing

For me, the OnePlus 5T strikes the perfect balance between affordability, performance, design and battery life. It’s pretty much the perfect smartphone.

OnePlus 5T review

Editors' Note : This review was originally published on Nov. 20, 2017 and was updated on Nov. 29, 2017 with additional battery information and an Editors' Choice Award.

The OnePlus 5T has a bigger screen and its camera takes better low-light photos than the 5. Its few software tweaks are useful in small ways.

The phone's face unlock doesn't authorize payments and its dual camera's digital rather than telephoto zoom is a step back. There's no expandable storage, and it's not rated for water resistance.

The OnePlus 5T is a superb, affordable phone for new buyers, despite only minor changes from the OnePlus 5.

OnePlus 5T Review: Three weeks with this great-value flagship phone

After using the OnePlus 5T for close to a month, it's clear that this is one of the best smartphones released in 2017.Several mobile manufacturers have had strong game this year. Samsung really impressed…

Great value ; Sleek new design ; Facial recognition ; Dependable camera ; Satisfying UI

No expandable storage

The OnePlus 5T is a near faultless phone, and those few weaknesses when compared with other flagship phones are minor at best. A lack of microSD support isn’t really an issue thanks to the plentiful on-board storage, for instance, while the absence of...

OnePlus 5T review: Now comes with striking new "Sandstone White" finish

A bigger 6in screen, new dual camera and the same size chassis – the OnePlus 5T looks is a winner

If ever there was an easy product to recommend, it’s the OnePlus 5T. Not only is this phone superior to the phone it replaces, with a bigger, better screen, an improved camera in low light, and the same great responsiveness and battery life, but...
