A sleek-yet-rugged Android phone that is waterproof, dustproof and light, with some decent specs to boot.
Waterproof ; Slim design ; Compatible with Lumix cameras
Ships with Gingerbread ; Not the brightest screen
The Eluga features a 1GHz dual-core processor with only 8GB storage on bnoard and with no option to expand this relatively meagre offering. The phone features an 8MP camera and can connect to a compatible Lumix camera over Wi-Fi, to relay the camera's...

Alluring but all round performance is average
Svelte and lightweight ; Android OS left fairly clean ; key features kept simple
Fiddly button placement ; can be slow ; screen lacks detail ; video lacks sharpness
An alluring exterior and simple interface but all-round performance is average

Slimline and waterproof Android smartphone
Slim ; Bright display ; 8MP camera ; 720p HD video shooting
Poor battery life ; No ICS ; Volume too low ; Occasional lagginess
The Panasonic Eluga is the first smartphone to arrive since the Japanese electronics manufacturer announced its plans to shift over 1.5 million handsets by the end of March 2013, following its re-entry to the European market.

Does the Panasonic Eluga Android phone offer more style than spec?
Slim body ; Waterproof spec ; Fast charge time
8GB storage ; Sluggish performance ; Bizarre placement of buttons

The Eluga looks the part – even underwater – but Panasonic's first phone for the UK will need to compete with powerful Android rivals

Panasonic have stayed out of the western phone market for a while now with their last foray being the MX7 in 2005 with a 320x240 display and a dashing clamshell form factor. With the Eluga however comes…
Thin, attractive design ; Waterproof and dustproof ; Bright display
Low user-available memory ; No camera flash ; UI stutters

The Panasonic Eluga is a nicely designed Android phone, but the snapper is mediocre and the interface suffers from too many issues to allow us to recommend it.
Neat design, lightweight, NFC support
Disappointing virtual keyboard, average snapper with no flash, too many force-closes and shutdowns
The Panasonic Eluga has an unusual array of features – offering NFC support could see it gain popularity as NFC becomes more widespread. But the mediocre snapper and the problem with glitches are a serious issue. This is a beautifully designed handset...

Panasonic, long missing from the smartphone arena, have finally made the decision to enter the European market. Their first foray is the Eluga dL1 and thanks to the kind people of Expansys we've gold hold of one to review.

Sleek design, ultralight build, NFC support for app-launching tags and contactless payments
Imperfect virtual keyboard, mediocre camera with no flash, regular force-closes and general shutdowns

The Eluga might not be Panasonic's first phone handset but it is the first the company has produced.
Nice visual design, Great screen, decent camera, Dust and water resistant,Thin,Lightweight
No camera flash, Slow and unstable interface,Awkward button placement, Low storage capacity, No micro SD
Not a bad phone, but not great either. For what it is the price seems a bit much
