Nokia Lumia 530 review

A small smartphone for a small price

Very cheap ; Micro SD card support ; Snappy performance ; Easy to use one-handed

No front camera ; No flash ; Limited battery life ; Fairly poor display

Ratings in depth There's no mistaking Nokia's aim with the Lumia 530: the budget phone designed to clean up in the entry level market, just as its predecessor did.

Nokia Lumia 530 review - Pocket-lint

-

Price point, solid and colourful design, Windows Phone 8.1 operating system improvements

Display resolution and no auto-brightness sensor, camera limitations, lacks power, competition now stronger

The sub-£100 price of the Nokia Lumia 530 makes it difficult to ignore, but the performance makes it difficult to fully recommend.

Nokia Lumia 530 review

The Lumia 530 is a big improvement on its predecessor, but its low price is still false economy against the superior Lumia 630

Sometimes you get less than you pay for

Looks better than some budget phones

Low-power processor causes performance issues, TN screen is ugly, Very limited internal memory

Lumia 530 video review: cheap is not good value with a phone as poor as the Lumia 530

The display is a deal breaker for us, undoing the good work of the Lumia 530's performance and build quality. We want to see more storage, and the camera is no better than it ought to be. If you really are limited in budget, it is worth considering....

Nokia Lumia 530 UK smartphone review

The Lumia 530 retails for just £60. It will be the first smartphone for a multitude of people, and at that price it will fly off the shelves of every high-street phone store. And it will be available just about everywhere.

The disappointing thing about the Nokia Lumia 530 is that it feels like a worse phone than the Lumia 520 it replaces (albeit with a price cut). The display is a deal breaker for us, undoing the good work of the Lumia 530's performance and build...

It’s too early to give a definitive verdict on which smartphone is better, but it’s almost certainly not worth buying a 530 if you already have a 520. We’ll bring you a full review of the 530 when we can get our hands on one, and we’ll update this...

Despite being cheaper we don't think the Nokia Lumia 530 has what it takes to knock the Motorola Moto G from its budget smartphone throne. It has a lower hardware specs across the board and even though Windows Phone 8.1 includes many improvements,...

Nokia Lumia 530 Review: In Depth

Nokia's Lumia 530 is a £60 smartphone rocking the latest Windows Phone 8.1 and some impressive features for the price. Here's our full review of this 4-inch value phone.Just when you think you couldn't…

Impressive performance ; Colourful, solid design ; Amazing price

Average-ish battery life ; Screen rather washed out

For the money, we’re really impressed by what Nokia’s produced in the Lumia 530. If you want a no-fuss, user-friendly phone that can get online and do all your usual smartphoney functions, and even play games, this seems to be a great choice.
