It's been a curious year for LG's smartphone department. The likes of the LG G5 and LG X Screen hint at a manufacturer that's obsessed with finding an angle – anything different to make its offerings stand out from the crowd.

The poor man's Galaxy Note
Android Marshmallow ; Expandable storage
Stylus a little pointless ; May have limited release ; Under powered
So-so specs and questionable stylus don't do enough to grasp the imagination, and unless you must have a pen for your phone and you're on a restricted budget there are better options out there.

LG Stylus 2 Review: LG's cut-priced rival to Samsung's Galaxy Note range is a mighty 5.7-inch mobile packing a built-in stylus pen.
Decent battery life ; Respectable cameras
Stilted performance ; Basic stylus ; Low-res screen

The LG Stylus 2 gets a makeover and some enhanced features for the pen, but otherwise seems like a pretty familiar phone.

Chalk up a win for LG when it comes to weird product names. If you've never heard of the LG Stylus 1 don't panic: The LG Stylus 2 is actually the "enhanced sequel" to the LG G Stylo, which was also known as the LG G4 Stylus outside of the US and Korea,...
