Kyocera Event (Virgin Mobile) review:

Though the Kyocera Event has only 3G data and is nearly identical to the Kyocera Hydro , save for not being waterproof like the Hydro, it still has enough tricks up its sleeve to be considered a reliable and decent handset.

The competitively priced Kyocera Event has great call quality and its 3.2-megapixel camera takes decent photos.

The Event's touch-screen interface isn't very accurate, and its 3G data speeds are inconsistent.

Though you won't get blazing data or processing speeds on the Kyocera Event, as an affordable smartphone it's an excellent choice.

"waste of money "

My experience after two weeks: 7 random restarts, 9 freezes requiring battery removal, horrible touch screen interface, bloatware I can't disable that runs constantly and hogs RAM, very poor camera quality, battery drains fast, I have to kill tasks and...

"The phone and functionality is adequate but depending on location Sprint isnt"

very angry at Best Buy for not allowing me to return this after virgin put me thru the wringer testing if the problem was phone or signal related. Cust. service was abysmal at both virgin and best Buy, and after paying full price of 60 dollars went...

"I wouldn't buy again."

You get what you pay for with this phone. It's fine for talking, texting, Google Hangouts, and basic websurfing. Google Play also functions pretty well, with a few glitches. Battery life is incredible; with light use, the phone will last for two days...

Price.

Unreliable; died after 8 months

"Would give it 1/2 a star if I could."

Buy something else! This phone is not worth the frustration you will get using it.

Under $50.

Everything about it! Freezes, reboots, shuts down, battery is very weak, WIFI constantly turns on, kicks you out of apps, touchscreen is bad.

"Excellent entry level or budget Android Smartphone."

Basically this is a great starter/budget phone. So if you're poor like me, a college student, very frugal, or whatever, this phone works pretty well, especially for the price. But it does just that. It works well. It isn't perfect but you could do far...

It has decent battery life, ok CPU, adequate internal memory (1.2GB), Android 4.0.4, good call quality, good for texting, sufficient 3G, nice camera with good light, and inexpensive, decent screen, fits in pocket,Oh and did I mention the GPS rocks?

The CPU is only single core and 1GHz vs 1.2GHz or more, there's no webcam but that's ok for $60, it freezes if you switch back and forth between wifi off or on, the launcher seems to gum up but you can download a free launcher.

Makes Me Want My Flip Phone Again

This phone's sound quality is atrocious and you can't keep your plan and get a different phone. Do yourself a favor skip this phone it isn't worth your money and time you will end up replacing this phone at least 3 times in a year.
