We rather liked its S710 predecessor, so can the S730 impress us just as much?

I started this site back in 2002 when I bought my first Microsoft Smartphone. At heart I still love the Smartphone shape – a normal-looking phone that does a lot more than any normal phone. I own a HTC S710 right now and I’d love for it to have the...

HTC's S730 updates an older device, the S710. It is a funny thing about hardware updates: when the original is groundbreaking, the update can sometimes appear a let-down. There is an analogy with bands who amaze ...
The HTC S730 does update the S710 in terms of features and capability, but it is not a smaller, neater or more pocket friendly device. When it comes to the next S series device, HTC needs to look at slimming the unit down as well as adding new features.

The HTC S730 is the natural progression from the earlier S710, but this time they have added the much sought after 3G option that was missing from the latter. But ...
The HTC S730 is a good smartphone but it's heavier and less appealing than its predecessor. We are also concerned about the memory leak problem we experienced during tests. It did not affect performance too much, but running multiple or memory...

So the QWERTY candybar returns. INTRODUCTION This is another BIG device for HTC. Perhaps not to the same scale as the TyTN II or the Touch series ? but it?s got to be number 3 in line. It sounds too good to be true really ? a...

Apologies for the slightly shorter review – it’s Christmas and I need to get drunk but the HTC S730 is definitely recommended!

A candy bar smartphone featuring HSDPA-connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the HTC S730's best feature is its comfortable slide out keyboard and excell...
Build quality, slide out QWERTY keyboard, controls, Wi-Fi, HSDPA-capable, HTC home screen
No standard 3.5mm headphone jack, somewhat thick and chunky, mediocre camera
The S730's QWERTY keypad and controls combined with an excellent design make this a welcome addition to the smartphone market.

Even though the S730 is one of the few HTC products without a touchscreen, it is probably the first candy-bar style smartphone we've seen that has a slide-out full QWERTY keypad. Plus the S730 has excellent connectivity options.

The HTC S730 is the Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone I've awaited. Equipped with UMTS/HSDPA and quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR as well as its fast 400 MHz Qualcomm processor, it's the perfect device for those...
