HTC One (M8) review

Stunning design, loads of power and some big upgrades: HTC's done it again

Beautiful design ; Expandable memory ; Effective Duo Camera

Camera poor in bright light

HTC has done it again: created a stunning phone with very few flaws.

HTC One M8 for Windows Phone review

A familiar phone with a totally different twist

Great hardware ; Excellent battery life ; Sharp HD display

Low camera resolution ; Windows Phone ecosystem ; Limited to one US carrier

The difference in verdict between the HTC One M8 and the One M8 for Windows Phone will come strictly down to the platform on the device. We love Android, but we can't say the same for Windows Phone, which has significantly smaller market share.

HTC One M8 review - Pocket-lint

-

Luscious metal design, powerful, microSD card, great display, BoomSound speaker quality, extreme power saver, battery life

Still a 4-megapixel camera with limitations, large size won't suit all users, Ufocus bokeh effect is hit and miss

HTC is passionate about smartphone design and you can see the consideration that has gone into the new HTC One. It's difficult to criticise the quality of the solid build, which eclipses many other devices. It sticks very much to the concept behind the...

HTC One (M8) pictures and hands-on - Pocket-lint

Perhaps surprisingly to some, but less so to those in the know, the first HTC One was the phone that wowed critics and continued to win awards and plaudits

HTC One M8

The HTC One M8 has now been superseded by the HTC One M9, but is still available to buy.

Large, sharp screen ; Interesting, feature-packed camera ; Class-leading metal design ; Smart improvements to Sense 6 UI

Exposure and chroma noise issues in photos ; Duo camera doesn't work perfectly

HTC One M8 vs HTC One M8s comparison

However, the M8 is not dead. In fact, it's been improved upon and reduced in price in the form of the HTC One M8s, making an appealing alternative to the HTC One M9. Here, we compare the HTC One M8 with the HTC One M8s to determine the differences and...

The HTC One M8s makes an appealing alternative to the HTC One M9 if that's out of your budget. It has a premium design and excellent specs, but it's not different enough to the One M8 for us to recommend an upgrade if you own last year's HTC flagship....

HTC One M8 review

HTC's aim with the M8 was to take the original HTC One, codenamed 'M7', and make everything better. As such the HTC One M8 is an all-round upgrade job. One thing's for sure: there are no major leaps with the M8, but we're seeing a similar trend with...

Like the Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2, the new HTC One M8 isn't a big leap compared to the previous model. What HTC has done is taken a great phone and made it better. The M8 looks and feels gorgeous and with important upgrades including a microSD card slot...

HTC One M8 review - now with Android 5 Lollipop

Aside from the dual camera it's largely a by-the-numbers update, but the design alone is still enough to turn heads

HTC has played it safe with the HTC One M8; it isn't a radical departure from the HTC One, but makes all the necessary upgrades in order to compete with other flagship handsets in 2014. It improves on the original in every way, so is deserving of a...

HTC One M8 vs Galaxy S5 smartphone comparison review

The Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 are two of the best Android phones you can buy. They will be superceded this year, perhaps, but both will remain excellent handset. And when the HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6 appear in the next couple of months, you'll start...

The Galaxy S5 is fast, well built, full featured. It has a big bright and bold screen, and good cameras, and it offers good storage- and connectivity options. And you could say all of the above about the new 2014 HTC One M8. The Galaxy S5 may offer a...
