Fast and stylish, the One S should be a winner. But a few slipups dent its appeal.
Beautiful slim but strong design, Dazzling and colourful screen, Incredibly fast processor, Feature packed camera
Matt black finish doesn't wear damage well, Screen has iffy viewing angles and isn't as sharp as the best, HTC image quality still isn't brilliant

A top of the range cameraphone with an emphasis on pictures, music and connectivity. Is the One S the One to have?
Slim, svelte and beautiful ; Built for Ice Cream Sandwich ; Loads of widgets ; Excellent battery life
Limited memory, no SD slot ; MicroSIM is a pain for some ; Keyboard has seen better days ; Call quality can be slightly tinny
Update: We've spent a long time with the HTC One S now, so have updated our review to represent the improved software and all round experience. Don't worry... it's still brilliant!

The HTC One S sits behind the One X in HTC's new line-up of devices, looking to regain the Android top spot in 2012. Three devices, all featuring premium design aesthetics, comprise the One series, in what is pitched as a simpler approach from HTC....
Design, performance, battery life, Android 4 and Sense 4 work nicely
Display could be better, no microSD card slot
Like the HTC One X, the One S exhibits sensational design. It's a great handset both in terms of how it looks and how it performs. It might technically not be the company's flagship device, but aside from the screen, you'd never know that. As such, if...

The HTC One S might not be the flagship in the new HTC One range, but that doesn't mean it's something that should be overlooked. Just announced, we had

The One S is ideal for those who can’t stretch their hands (or wallets) around the One X

The HTC One S is the ultimate multimedia phone for Android, from gaming to music to snapping high-quality photos. Read our HTC One S review to find out more.
The HTC One S is one of the top Android phones. The HTC One X has a bigger, higher-resolution display and LTE connectivity (not much use in the UK for now). Hopefully the call quality issues I experienced with my test HTC One S are an isolated...

HTC is reinventing the smartphone with the One series, and the HTC One S is a nicely proportioned, well specified handset with plenty going for it. We’d have liked the S to have been a touch cheaper to put a little more space between it and the One X,...

NASA technology and a branded set of ear-buds are just two of the features found on a new HTC smartphone.
As part of its One series of smartphones, HTC has released its One S model. My review unit, kindly supplied by Vodafone, has an appealing if understated aluminium body with dimensions of 130.9 x 65 x 7.8mm (H x W x D). Weighing just 119.5g (battery...

The HTC One S is just behind the HTC One X in terms of the latest One series pecking order. However this device is extremely fast and has a superb screen to match. However Android purists may be put off by its modern embrace of ICS, by supporting a...
