The Marshall Major IV are an enjoyable pair of on-ears, offering some solid improvements over the previous model, including huge battery life

Good, engaging sound ; Rugged build quality ; Long battery life ; Comfortable to wear

Not the widest soundstage ; Design allows outside sound to leak in

Marshall Major IV review: A minor masterpiece

These on-ear headphones do absolutely everything right - improving on the series predecessor with truly epic battery life.

Comfortable and light ; Ridiculous battery life ; Great sound

No active noise-cancelling ; Wireless charging can be a bit fiddly to get right

If you're looking for some lightweight headphones with sonic clout, Marshall's on-ear cans hit the mark, with battery life that beggars belief, great style, and impressive sound.

Marshall Major IV Review

Bass-forward and bright audio performance ; Easy-to-use on-ear controls ; Includes audio cable for passive wired listening ; Strong battery life

Can be difficult to balance properly on wireless charging pads ; Sound signature not for those seeking accuracy

The on-ear Marshall Major IV headphones deliver deep bass and bright highs in a user-friendly design for a reasonable price.

Marshall Major IV review

The Marshall Major IV delivers terrific sound and battery life in a retro package.

80 hours of playtime ; Studio-quality sound ; Cool, nostalgic design ; User-friendly controls ; Wireless charging

Doesn’t support Marshall app or customized sound features ; Mediocre noise isolation ; No carrying case

Strong sound and battery life combined with a sleek, throwback design make the Marshall Major IV an affordable top-tier wireless model.

Marshall Major IV headphone review: On-ear sonic sweetness

On-ear headphone pads are smaller and sit on top of rather than over your ear. It's more comfortable than you might think, and the Marshall Major IV's excellent sound helps the experience.

Excellent sound ; Small and light ; Very comfortable

Might not produce enough low-end thump for some ; Doesn't block as much ambient noise as an over-ear design

I have a late 1960s Marshall 1960A 4x12 speaker sitting in my office, and a 50-watt CODE amplifier in my music room. To me, Marshall is studio and stage gear, not consumer electronics. So, I’m glad the storied company has selected a quality...
