Kensington noise canceling headphones reviewed

PC Mag's got a review of Kensington's new low-cost noise canceling headphones which, unlike some other competing headphones, appear to actually cancel some noise. Don't expect them to completely drown out the construction crew working outside, but for...

Kensington Noise Canceling Headphones

The Kensington Noise Canceling Headphones are comfortable, light, folding headphones that take the jagged edge off plane flights or other noisy environments.

Lightweight, comfortable folding design. Adequate audio quality. Moderate noise reduction at typical noisy-environment frequencies. Low price.

Limited noise reduction. Some shortcomings in audio reproduction.

Kensington's Noise Cancelling Headphones

WHAT'S HOT Again, the Kensington Noice Cancelling Headphone can be purchased for less than $30, and makes many of the claims that more expensive

Inexpensive ; Effectively cancels low-frequency noise ; Great for use when traveling ; Includes case, airplane headphone adapter, battery

Mediocre sound quality ; Under-padded

If you're looking for a set of noise canceling headphones (without the fancy treatment) for travel, better study conditions, or peace when sleeping, then I recommend the headphones from Kensington. At such a price point, some...

Kensington Noise-Canceling Headphones

Reduce background noise with Kensington's noise-canceling technology. Of all the over-ear headphones, testers rated the Kensington model the least bulky, and with the foldable band, these are well suited for traveling. Sound quality rated the poorest...

Cheap and functional, but...

Worth the money if you are a traveler or must bite the bate that is the noise-canceling gimmick. For everyday low maintenance use, go with regular headphones if you want rich sounds.

Delivers on all aspect of its promised bullet points. Cheap headphones you can afford to have stolen or lose. To sum up, pros are heavily owed to the fraction of the price you would have to pay for a pair of Bose, Audio-technica, or Dre Beats

Be that as it may, its sound quality is dwarfed in comparison to the fore mentioned brands. In a blind study, you'll definitely recognize the crisper highs of your Bose or Beats. In fact, typical overhead non-canceling headphones in the 30-40 dollar...

Worth the price

Strangely, turning on the noise canceling seems to make the dynamic range and sound quality much better. This doesn't appear to come from the fact outside noise is being reduced. I tried this in extremely quiet spaces to confirm. There actually is an...

Noise canceling capabilities are pretty good. This is only the second pair of noise canceling headphones I've tried so I can't compare. The padding on each ear gives a noticeable (passive) decrease in ambient noise without the active noise canceling....

Sound quality isn't very good. That is to be expected at this price range, though I've had $10 non-noise canceling headphones that sounded much better. With video games they sound fine, but with music they sound very flat with VERY little dynamic...

Good value for the money ”

Kensington Noise-cancelling headphones are a great value for the price. These headphones are a wonderful thing to have for those who travel a lot or even those who would like to listen to something in an area that is not exactly quiet. Great for...
