Panasonic DMP-BD55K review

But the Panasonic DMP-BD55K's superb image quality, excellent design, and wide feature set make the DMP-BD55K a tempting choice for shoppers with deep enough pockets.

If you're willing to pay a lot for a Blu-ray player, you deserve one as good as the Panasonic DMP-BD55K.

The Panasonic DMP-BD55K costs a bundle, but it delivers top-grade image quality for the price.

Plays back DivX and AVCHD video ; Gorgeous image quality

No built-in memory for BD-Live ; Remote not backlit ; display doesn't show time

Panasonic DMP-BD55 review: Panasonic DMP-BD55

Panasonic DMP-BD55

Excellent image quality on Blu-ray Discs; Profile 2.0 compliant; onboard decoding for all high-resolution soundtrack formats, plus bit stream output; 7.1 analog-audio outputs.

PlayStation 3 offers much more functionality and faster navigation for the same price.

The Panasonic DMP-BD55 is the best standalone Blu-ray we've tested and it's a good choice for those with older receivers, but most people will get the same performance out of the cheaper DMP-BD35.
