Works well, decent player

It's a nice player but given the fact that I was really looking forward to being able to use my external 1TB drive to keep my movies on and, therefore, make them readily accessible when ready to view, causes me to be just lukewarm to this product. I...

WiFi setup was a snap. Love the internet connectivity and, via the WiFi connection, it was simple and painless to update the firmware. Picture quality is excellent

I haven't yet found an external drive that will work with it. This was one of the main reasons I purchased this player, to play digital movies stored on an external drive via the USB connection. First up was a 1TB external Hitachi drive (with an...

Excellent BD Player

Make sure you upgrade the firmware. That was the first thing that I did.

Blu-Rays play beautifully. DVDs upconvert beautifully. I haven't found a DVD (or Blu-Ray) that it won't play. Internet connects nicely. I actually like that fact that it has a dongle for wifi, rather than built in. The dongle can be moved in case of a...

Excellent for streaming

Paired it with a 32" Panasonic HDTV I got from the Egg some time ago.

Got this elsewhere cause another place has a really good price right now. Bought it to replace a dead cheapo and for the wifi. Netflix streaming works great and setup was easy. Let the unit find my router, selected open connection & entered the wep...

none so far, but haven't tried a blu-ray disc yet

Simple to operate, loaded with features

I've ordered some high quality Ethernet cable (about 20' from Blue Jeans Cable) to run from my router to the BD85, this should solve the Internet connection problem. Panasonic, overall, has very good quality products that are fairly priced, I still...

Beautiful Blu-Ray pics (on 46" Samsung LED/LCD); Upconverts DVD quite nicely; relative short loading time for Blu-Rays, but I wouldn't say only 0.5 secs; included WiFi dongle; Backwards compatible with Analog receiver (so you don't have to upgrade that...

My only major concern, and still not resolved, is the Wireless connection. The WiFi dongle recognizes my Gateway (via reliable Linksys G Router), however, even after trying to connect manually, I still can't get the unit to connect through to the...

Great Player

I checked around and done some intensive research on the web and in Retail Stores. You can spend a lot more money and you will not get much more for a unit to play Blu-Ray and DVD, read SD Cards and connects to USB Camera, or other units. Had my...

Great Player for the $$. Comes with WiFi Dongle, connects to Netflix, works great streaming, easy to understand and to operate, converts DVD to 1080p HD, great picture, easy to upgrade

None so far. Will post later if we experience some problems

Very Nice Blue Ray

Really like this unit glad I have it, know I need to get a Panasonic T.V. to go with it.

Very easy to setup, remote control is a universal so it can control a wide variety of t.v.s I like the fact that it is a little bigger then many other brands out there, just seems more sturdy, it really does have it all that you would want on a blue...

Manual does not have a lot to it, wish it were 3-D(other brands can be bought for less with 3-D Blue Ray, but if your're not concerned about that then it's ok), interface is the same style from my Panasonics that I've had around for years, they really...
