If you can't quite run to Samsung's flagship ES8000 TVs, the UE46ES7000 is a fine alternative.

Aggressively excellent 2D and 3D pictures ; Very pretty design ; Rich online services

Samsung's high-end TVs can generally be relied on to set some sort of bar for the AV world each year, either with their designs or their feature counts. Or, as happens with the Samsung UE46ES7000, both!

Cracking picture; plenty of smart features; good interface and controls; looks fantastic

Slightly pricey; there are rivals with smoother motion

The dazzling looks and wealth of smart and online content aside, it’s the UE40ES7000’s picture that’s got us hooked. You’ll be entertained for hours when watching this TV, and it’s worth every penny of its price.

Samsung 40inch Smart TV

 

TV's are getting larger and are no longer just a device to take external connections, hence the word ‘Smart' as now they do not even have to have an Ethernet connection as a reasonably good wireless link will do it all for you.

This is far more than a TV if you connect a keyboard then you could do all your web browsing from your sofa. Its nice not to have your TV even a ‘Smart’ one with an Ethernet cable it gives youso much more flexibility.
