The LG C9 is a triumph of TV technology that offers significantly improved performance thanks to the addition of artificial intelligence.
Superb picture quality Awesome black levels and contrast Dolby Vision and Atmos AI-enhanced smart platform Gorgeous design
Lacks HDR10+ support Limited HDR brightness
The LG C9 represents a triumph of OLED evolution, improving every aspect of its performance thanks to the addition of artificial intelligence. This is easily the smartest and most feature-packed 4K TV you can buy, although awesome pictures and...

What Hi-Fi? Awards 2019 winner. LG's 2019 OLED defies expectations
Rich but natural pictures ; Fabulous contrast ; Strong sound
Rival Samsung edges it at brightness extremes ; Beaten for motion ; Convoluted menus
LG has squeezed yet more performance from its OLED panel – the C9 is natural, dynamic and rich, and it sounds good, too

The LG C9 has image quality to rival TVs twice the price, but doesn't skimp on processing skills or next-gen connectivity to get there

What Hi-Fi? Awards 2019 winner. Superb OLED TV with flagship picture performance
Rich, natural colours ; Inky blacks ; Excellent detail
Finest dark details missing ; Sound isn’t spectacular
With its incredible colours, intense blacks and razor-thin panel, this is just another in a long line of totally brilliant OLEDs from LG

LG's OLED division looks set to face unprecedented competition in 2019, with Sony, Philips and Panasonic all introducing expanded ranges with bespoke technological tricks. But if the Korean brand's 65in OLED65C9 auditioned here is anything to go by,...

The 2019 LG OLED TV with the best balance of price point to features.
Awesome pictures ; Dolby Vision and Atmos ; AI-enhanced webOS ; Impressive sound quality ; Incredibly low input lag
No HDR10+ support ; Limited peak brightness for HDR content
LG uses AI processing to refine its latest OLED 4K TV, creating a superior image with more depth, saturation, and detail. The super-smart operating system, incredibly low input lag, and impressive sound are added bonuses, with only a lack of HDR10+...

LG added improved processing to the awesomeness of last year's OLED TVs. But is the new version worth the steeper price?
The LG C9 OLED TV has better image quality than any television we've ever tested. It delivers perfect black levels, wide viewing angles, superb uniformity, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. Video processing is slightly better than last...
The C9 is expensive, and 2018 OLED TVs perform almost as well for much less money. It can't get as bright as competing LCD TVs.
If you want the best TV picture quality and are willing to pay for it, the LG C9 should be the first 2019 TV on your list.

C9 succeeds C8 and features HDMI 2.1 ports, HDMI 2.1 features, and new webOS features. Here's our full review
Excellent HDR ; Excellent HD & 4K ; HDMI 2.1 ports, features ; Lowest input lag ; First 4K TV with proper VRR range
Rear-facing ports ; Solution to flashing not ideal ; webOS not receiving updates ; 77" still very expensive

LG makes OLED panels for Sony and Panasonic, so you would assume all that extra expertise would make its OLEDs the best. But a screen is just one aspect of a TV. If the 55-inch OLED55C9MLB doesn't sound as good ...
