LG 55LM660T

LG kicks off its 2012 telly season with the largest model from its new mid-range LM660T series. And the results are nothing if not spectacular.

Gorgeous ‘bezel-free’ design, Terrific pictures, in 2D and 3D mode, Comprehensive online features

Some resolution loss when showing motion, Input lag may trouble gamers, Slight backlight inconsistencies

LG 42LM660T review

Gets plenty right, but faces tough competition

3D is good to watch ; clear and detailed images ; easy to use remotes ; friendly interface

Contrast could be stronger, with deeper blacks ; wishy washy colours

This is a good screen that gets plenty right, but it faces tough competition

LG 55LM660T review

LG's latest passive 3D TV is its best yet

Brilliantly watchable 3D ; Good 2D HD pictures ; Gorgeous design ; Strong Smart TV system

Minor backlight consistency flaws ; Troublingly high input lag ; 3D line structure ; Lack of shadow detail

After throwing the TV world in to chaos last year with its launch of passive 3D technology, 2012 is potentially a critical year for LG.

LG 55LM660T review

As soon as you clap eyes on the 55LM660T you'll be impressed. By any stretch of the imagination, it's one heck of a looker. Not least because its bezel is, well, hardly there. In fact, when the TV's off, the way the black colour of what small amount of...

Brilliantly watchable 2D and 3D picture quality; good controls/onscreen interface; nice design

Judder and resolution loss with fast motion; average audio

LG 42LM660T review

The model reviewed here is a 42-incher, but if you need more glass there are 47in and 55in versions also available (the £1050 47LM660T and £1430 55LM650T respectively).

For most buyers, the 42in LM660T ticks all the right boxes. It looks pretty, has an enviable specification with excellent IPTV and file streaming facilities and dazzles with brightly hued, contrasty images. Sure it's not great with fast motion, but...

LG 42LM660T review

The feature-packed, 3d-capable, LED-backlit and Smart 42LM660T looks too good to be true for the price. But is it?

Looks more expensive than it is ; Five sets of 3D glasses included ; Smart TV features aplenty

Passive 3D not the purist's choice ; Can struggle with very dark scenes

A stylish, well-equipped and capable TV at an appealing price, the 42LM660T is a cracking buy

LG 55LM660T review

Boasting a good line-up of smart apps, 3D support, LED edge dimming and a stunning design, the 55LM660T ticks all the boxes of what you should be looking for in a high-end LED set.

Bright and vivid pictures; Convincingly natural colours; Deep black levels; Good sound quality for such a slim screen; Top-notch online features.

Struggles with shadow detail on some very dark scenes; standard-definition images could be better.

Despite a few minor flaws, the LG 55LM660T is a very impressive TV. Its no-bezel design looks gorgeous, 2D and 3D images are cracking and there's a wealth of features and smart TV apps. If you're in the market for a 55-inch LED TV, then this should be...

LG LM660 (42LM660T) 3D LED LCD TV Review

Loads of features and a bagful of free 3D specs - how does the rest shape up?

Unbelievable out-of-the-box accuracy ; Beautifully presented and extensive features ; Convincing colours ; Excellent viewing angles ; Fantastic 3D ; Some very good video processing

Average blacks and contrast performance ; Motion artefacting/trailing in 50Hz content ; Issues with high contrast scenes on Blu-ray ; Some mild uniformity issues

LG 42LM669T

Stunning picture quality. Great design, ultra thin and comes with a standard and a Wii type magic remote. Very easy to set up and adjust. The passive 3d and 2d to 3d conversion is excellent. Viewing split screen 3d images takes viewing to anorher...

Sound is good, but an optional wireless or bluetooth subwoofer would have made it perfect.
