A compelling iPad Pro 12.9 alternative with one big issue

Fantastic speakers ; Long battery life ; Powerful CPU ; Useful (optional extra) keyboard accessory

App catalogue is poor ; It’s a plastic tablet (but a great one)

An almost great tablet with a superb design, brilliant battery life and a great screen, it’s just hindered by its sorely lacking app library

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6in (2021) review: Bittersweet Harmony

 

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6in is within reaching distance of the iPad Pro, but Harmony OS isn't the Android alternative we were hoping for

Thoughtful, high-class design ; Large, colour-accurate screen ; Zippy performance

Harmony OS isn't an Android or iPad OS alternative ; Software offering is still lacking ; No price or availability in UK yet

It should come as no surprise that my final verdict on the Huawei MatePad Pro (2021) is pretty much the same as any other Huawei device I’ve reviewed over the last couple of years.
