Logitech mm50 review

The mm50 impressed us enormously when it first came out, and despite being superseded by the Pure-Fi Anywhere, it's still worth looking for a bargain

Rechargeable battery and carry case ; remote ; syncs with computer ; good sound

Treble can be a little spiky, while bass isn't massive

A very fine, cheap travel speaker

It may look like you've bought a set of Dynasty-style shoulder-pads for your iPod, but the mm50 speakers are still a bargain

Portable speaker systems built specifically for iPods are becoming something of a fad these days and there are a plethora of options available on the ...

Great sound, loud enough for use in the home, charges and syncs your iPod to a PC, stylish

Some distortion evident at high volume levels, quite large, lacks bass

For a competitive price, the mm50 provides quality sound and is loud enough for in-home use.

Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod

Logitech takes aim at Altec Lansing and Bose with its mm50 portable speakers for the iPod. The compact sound system certainly packs a punch. Read our review for the details.

Travel-friendly folding design; built-in rechargeable battery; includes travel pouch, wall charger, and remote; great sound; acts as an iPod charger when plugged in; line-in port for non-iPod MP3 players.

Slightly larger than other travel speakers; sound distortion at highest volumes.

The Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod are useful and affordable--and they sound good, too.

Logitech mm50 Review - iPod Speaker System Hands On Review @ MP3 Player Edition

With new speaker systems for Apple's iPod family of digital audio players popping up everywhere, it's clear that people want more from their iPods than the traditional earbud experience. Apple allowed years - and plenty of profit - to pass before...

Small, Light & Stylish Design; Provides Clear Sound for Its Size; Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery; Included Remote

Some Spotty Bass Response; No Playlist Control from Remote

Our primary piece of advice is to shop around. The asking price for the Logitech mm50 varies quite a bit from retailer to retailer. Don't pay MSRP.

So you loaded all the hot tracks for your big party onto your iPod. You even practiced your latest dance steps. As you confidently begin to welcome your guests, you suddenly realize that iPods can't play out loud. Whoops.

LEDs can be mildly annoying ; nano adaptor seems like a bit of an afterthought

The mm50 speaker set uses two 3" pressure driver speakers, which Logitech says are specially designed to maximize bass and minimize distortion. Their built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery is rated for 10 hours of playback time and does not suffer...
