Logitech AudioStation iPod speaker system

The Logitech AudioStation is a premium "desktop" speaker system. As with most speakers in this class - compact, one-piece systems that require AC power - the Logitech AudioStation offers bigger (and better) sound than most portable iPod speaker systems.

The AudioStation is a standout product in the crowded field of one-piece, "desktop" iPod speaker systems. Like Tivoli Audio's iYiYi, the AudioStation includes useful non-iPod features such as an AM/FM radio and a clock. But it also competes with JBL's...

Logitech AudioStation Express review

Logitech AudioStation Express

The AudioStation Express iPod speaker offers an understated design with a small desktop footprint, and it sounds decent when played at low volumes. It includes some nice extras, such as a padded case, a wireless remote, and a line-in cable.

The AudioStation Express is too boxy to be considered truly travel-friendly. The unit is lacking in bass, and the audio quality is subpar at high volumes.

The Logitech AudioStation Express is a smartly designed iPod speaker that will make a worthy addition to your desk or nightstand, but those who like to blast the tunes should look elsewhere.

Logitech AudioStation review

The AudioStation, which carries a list price of $300, is an all-black affair that caters to owners of black iPods, but white and other colored iPods don't clash too badly with the system; they'll just stand out against the black background rather than...

Logitech's AudioStation iPod home speaker system is sleekly designed and has a built-in iPod dock that charges your iPod. It includes an AM/FM tuner, a clock, a line input, and both composite and S-Video outputs for displaying iPod videos and photos on...

The AudioStation is expensive, the S-Video slot is recessed, making it difficult to plug in many S-Video cables, and there's no alarm to go with the clock.

If you have $300 to blow on an iPod speaker system, the Logitech AudioStation is a strong contender for your money.

AudioStation

Logitech offer a premium set of speakers, at a very reasonable price.

Very good sound quality, attractive design, AM/FM tuner with RDS, S- and composite-video output, large LCD display with different brightness levels when the system is on and off, full-featured remote

No data connection for syncing your iPod, clock missing alarm function, RDS feature doesn't work consistently, average radio reception, very large power adaptor

The AudioStation is a standout product in the crowded field of one-piece iPod speaker systems. Like Tivoli's iYiYi, the AudioStation includes useful non-iPod features such as an AM/FM radio and a clock. But it also competes with JBL's Radial as one of...

Great iPod Speakers

I've been a fan of Logitech's audio products for some time now, because they seamlessly integrate the three things that matter most-performance, design, and ease of use. The prices are generally pretty reasonable, too. Unfortunately, although the...

Sleek design. Powerful output. Simple, touch-sensitive, flat front panel. Apple iPod video/photo-out for TVs.

Terrible power adapter (unplugs easily). No iPod navigation from remote or base control. Radio preset navigation could be simpler.

If audio quality is your main concern, Logitech's AudioStation lives up to the company's reputation for great sound. Some minor design flaws and the exclusion of iPod navigation from the remote, however, make this product less appealing.

Though it's not feature-heavy, Logitech's AudioStation looks and sounds sweet.

Terrible power adapter (unplugs easily). No iPod navigation from remote or base control. Radio preset navigation could be simpler.
