PNY CS1311 (240GB) Review and Ratings

The CS1311 is a fine first SSD if you're upgrading from a hard drive. Despite the bare-bones bundle and software, PNY's aggressive pricing makes it a good value pick.

Aggressively priced, especially at 240GB capacity ; Very good performance for the money

Largely generic, with few standout features ; Bare-bones software utility

The PNY CS1311 is an overall decent SSD. The main issue with it has little to do with performance—in practical fact, it will be hardly distinguishable from most other low-end and midrange SSDs in everyday use. It's with its lack of distinguishing...

Blazing consumer speeds for amazing price

I didn't use Acronis but I'm sure it's a quality software. This thing is speedy for what you pay for, like rivaling Samsung speeds. I installed Windows like 10 times on this thing (had some issues) and it kept going blazing fast the whole way through....

-Fast -I mean really fast -Works -Inexpensive

Bang-For-Buck Choice

PNY has been producing quality SSDs for value-conscious customers for several years, and this is another well-judged product. We have an older PNY XLR8 120GB model which has performed flawlessly for several years.

An entry level SSD that will suit many users who are on a budget and would like to have the significant speed boost that an SSD gives you. Install Windows on this and use your old drive for storing your photos, videos, music, games, etc.

Power users should consider the PNY CS 2211 which has higher sustained Write speeds for heavy-duty work.

Nice alternative to Samsung

It comes with an Acronis license and I cloned my HDD without any issues.

At work, we use Samsung SSDs but those are much pricier than the PNY ones. These drives are pretty solid (no puns intended).

Solid SSD

Save your money and go PNY. Samsung makes a quality product, but so does PNY and a much lower cost. I have no complaints and glad i saved some cash on this fantastic SSD.

Performs as well as any Samsung SSD at 1/2 the cost. Looks Nice in the Case

great SSD

You won't be sorry you bought this SSD

I have 2 of these 120GB PNY SSD's. I'm using them for OS on 2 computers. If you read the specs this is the best 120GB SSD for around 50$

Doesn't come with any mounting screws. Kinda annoying. They should come with screws.

Worked well for my purposes and definitly decreased boot time.

I bought four of these drives and one has been in service a couple months now. I have had no problems. To use the cloning software you need to find a way to access the new drive while booted to the original drive. The instructions recommend a USB to...

Comes with cloning software
