Works For Me

The Acer was givewn to my wife and was obsolete. For a few buck we turned spare parts into GOLD

Bought this for an old Acer D260 net book. I also bumped the memory X2. Using this for a Media PC. Runs everything I've thrown at it like the big boys. Downgarded the OS to Vista Ultimate for the MCE and run Kodi like a champ. REAL Happy.

Think before you buy

Remember its a refurbished ssd so you are taking a chance when buying this, I got a good egg others haven't been so lucky. I would never store important data on a refurbished ssd. They can work for years or days. If this is a drive that you can't have...

I got lucky mine works and hasn't failed yet. Ran it for a day straight to make sure I was good. It helped out an older laptop that had a falling hdd. I still recommend having all important data backed up. Its not a truly bad drive its just hit miss....

Hit and miss reliability for others

Never again

Unit was refurbished.

Unit died after 2 days. Gradual but quick decline. Performance while working was not stellar.

Failed within the first week.

I've never bought a refurb SSD before this one. And I love the price point but I see just a ton of DOA and dead SSD in other reviews. and I'm not sure about refurb SSD.

I wrote the first review on this product.

Literally one day after I wrote that review for this solid state drive. It started failing. Getting blue screen of deaths all over the place.

Best bang for the buck!

This drive competes well with other drives that I've owned. The kingston V100 and 200 series are both slower than this drive, Which also ran on SATA II. If this drive was SATA III I think it could be worthy of more speed but it kept the SSD cheap. I...

Reasons for buying this SSD. 1) Cheapest ssd for the amount of space. (240gb - actual 222gb) $75.99-----> 3GB/$1 2) Speed of this drive! Writing Speeds of 176 MB/s Read speeds of 210 Mb/s On my 3year old AMD Neo X2 1.6 dual core 4 gb Ram integrated...

Doesn't come in retail packaging but that's expected when buying an item refurbished. Can't complain for buying the cheapest SSD on the market.
