I would strongly recommend against purchasing Emotiva products. I wanted to share my experiences with Emotiva products and services in the hopes that others can avoid their abhorrent product quality and service.

- Room: 10x18 enclosed; untreated

Excellent sound quality, particularly with 192kHz/24 bit material; Very "tweakable

Slow startup; HDMI lock relatively slow; Minor issue with center channel drop; Dolby Volume does not remain active when switching sources, although the display shows it is enabled

Owned mine since May '10, yes there were some initial firmware based issues but the company has been working hard on updates and revisions to correct any and all issues. I don't think that there is anything in this price range to compare for both video...
