Sony VPL-BW7 home theatre projector

Sony's entry-level home theatre projector produces high brightness levels at a low cost

High lumens output, backlit remote control, good image quality overall

Lacks 1080p capability, no audio output, doesn't perform as claimed in well-lit areas

This projector's low display resolution means you won't be able to make the most of 1080p high-definition media, but for 720p movies and games, the VPL-BW7 does an admirable job considering its price.

Sony 3LCD VPL-BW7 720p Front Projector Review

The Sony 3LCD 720p Front Projector is of great overall value, giving a very good 720p image, though the low contrast ratio hurts it. Sony's products are well-respected, as is their warranty, so it's something to consider when making your final purchase.

Very affordable price for a 720p projector, powerful lamp.

Sony VPL-BW7 Projector

The VL-BW7 is on the lower end of the spectrum, targeted towards the home user.

Again, the BW7 isnt on the higher-end of the spectrum but it does a decent job with its short throw and 2000 ANSI Lumens to be used as your budget projector. Like any other projector, you would probably not want to use this for your primary display as...

Found it on clearance for half the price of a cheap 1080p projector ; Picture looks very good in my dark media room

Sooo much better than the AW15!!!

This projector is a light torch!!! It is incredibly bright and though less expensive, it is stellar in performance to the bravia AW15 projector Sony made last year. It's quiter, and twice as bright!!!
