The Canon PIXMA MG5550 is a sleeker, smarter take on the inexpensive, wireless all-in-one. It's a fussier, noisier take, too, though.
Low-profile case ; Neat cartridge cover ; Four colour photo prints
Low capacity main tray ; Noisy, particularly when feeding paper ; Large footprint when printing
However, every time we tried to register the printer with either Google or Canon, from the printer or a connected PC, we got the same ‘Cannot connect to server’ message. This was using the same wireless link to the same router that worked fine for...

At first glance, the printing performance may not seem that impressive. These days, 11.8 pages per minute isn't amazing, even for an inkjet. However, what's rather more impressive is that once you leave behind the fastest mode, and switch to the middle...
The MG5550 isn't perhaps the best featured or best designed MFD we've seen. However, once you strip away the rarely-used fastest mode, the Pixma offers excellent speed and quality. As performance goes, this is the #1 sub-£100 model on the market. As...

Adding to its range of All-in-One devices, Canon has released a product that leans towards quality as against speed of delivery
The Canon PIXMA MG5550 is an inkjet All-in-One product that offers print, scan and copy facilities with a choice of wireless or USB connectivity. Rather unassuming, but not unattractive, in appearance, this predominately matte box with rounded corners...

Goes through ink like you wouldn't believe. Cannot to B/W printing if the colour ink is empty. The printing spills onto the floor. Wireless is good, when it prints quality is OK except for photos which are ok I suppose but not amazing

great alround printer: It does seem to be cleaning the cartridges all the time but it is easy to refill cartridges with bulk ink, buy a 525/ 526 cartridge resetter and bulk in and the running costs are low.

I have had this printer for 4 months now and it hasn't missed a beat. I do occasional printing, scanning and photocopying and it has not let me down. No jamming of paper, just failed to load the paper once but it was my fault for not pushing the tray...

Bought it a week ago, and VERY UNHAPPY with it. Same problem as Faceburg. Paper feed not working properly, many mangled sheets of paper, and clearing a paper jam is a nightmare, half an hour of picking out bits of paper piecemeal. Quick start menu not...

I bought this to replace a previous Canon, where the print head had failed. Which comments that it uses a lot of ink. It is also going to use twice as much paper as I am used to. My last Canon happily automatically printed on both sides of a sheet of...
