Good Monitor

 

I wanted to get rid of my dying CRT, so I wanted an average flat panel that would get the job done whilst still being able to enjoy good video quality for playing games, movies, and picture editing. I am very pleased with my purchase from New Egg!

Great physical movement range. No dead pixels upon arrival. Great quality

Decent

 

good display and easy to set up, the height and pivot adjustments are nice.

could be clearer, I bought this monitor to add as a second monitor for my computer and it just doesn't compare to my Sony monitor.

Great buy

 

Amazing quality with VGA, even better with DVI! I bought a new video card around the same time, so the combination of the two new products looks fantastic.

No included DVI cable is a minor "con" because I was able to one cheap.

Quality+Price=Excellant Monitor

 

Would buy this model again. LCD monitors with such a good design, great configurable stand, extra features not found on average 17" LCD's like this one. EXTRAS: such as two USB ports, UP/DOWN/TILT/TWIST/stand with heavy base makes super stable monitor.

Incredibly well designed, great flexibility with incorporated stand, TWO USB ports, Carrying handle built in, extra large stable base. Hp thought of everything when they built this one. NO DEAD PIXELS!!! Thanks again NEWEGG, for the quick 3 day delivery

For the price, features included in the overall design, there are NO cons on this product

HP L1740 Silver-Black 17" 5ms LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 500:1

 

I work for a company that has used HP hardware exclusively for years and have seen hundreds of these monitors (am a support analyst). Overall image quality and brightness is great for business. I have only seen one with any dead pixels.
