BenQ Monitor FP71V+ - EXCLUSIVE - Pocket-lint

For workaholics who like to play games when the sun goes down this is the cream of the crop

Image quality is crisp and vibrant

Not widescreen

At under £300, this 17in TFT monitor with D-Sub (VGA) and DVI-D inputs and a high contrast ratio level of 500:1 certainly lives up to its promise. Its performance is dazzling both with fast moving images and desktop work alike. Our only criticism has...

A performance-driven monitor, the FP71V's excellent response times and generally high quality images make it ideal for gamers and lovers of action movies. Users looking for high quality and precise images may find this BenQ model to be slightly...

Super-fast response times, great colour reproduction

Limited display of dark blacks, yellows slightly washed out, may be fiddly for users without small hands

BenQ Professional 17 inch Lcd Monitor review: BenQ Professional 17 inch Lcd Monitor

Slick and sturdy design; digital and analog connections; three USB ports; nice cable-management system.

Very expensive; middling image quality; not particularly adjustable.

BenQ's swank FP783 17-inch LCD will give your work space a dose of high style, although its image quality is less attractive.

BenQ FP72G+S

The BenQ FP72G+S is a good-looking, well-designed 17-inch LCD with fine adjustability and a quick enough pixel response rate (8 milliseconds) to give it good gaming performance. Unfortunately, its overall image quality is only average for a $359 monitor.

Pleasing design; highly adjustable; impressive gaming performance; stable.

Mediocre image quality; display sits too low for tall people.

The BenQ FP72G+S LCD offers good gaming performance and adjustability but inferior overall image quality.

BenQ FP71G+ 17-inch 8ms TFT LCD

Overall, the BenQ FP71G+ maintained true to the performance we last saw with the FP71E+. The major difference was that the reddish hue that permeated everything in the FP71E+ was thankfully missing. However, in a direct contrast, the monitor took on a...

BenQ FP71E

The BenQ FP71E is a 17-inch LCD monitor with D-Sub and DVI inputs.

Sharp picture quality when using a DVI input, DVI input option along with D-Sub, Good brightness and contrast, Smart looks

Slight ghosting in games, Minor color registration problem, Not an ideal choice if looking to use it with a standard D-Sub input

BenQ FP71E+ 17-inch 8ms TFT LCD

The modest outlook of the BenQ FP71E+ belies its speedy nature. With the lower response time of 8ms, it edges out the 12ms LCDs, albeit slightly. To the casual eye, there will be no noticeable flicker or ghosting at all in either DVD playback or fast...
