For an entry-level handset, the Z555i boasts a marathon battery life with 500 minutes' talktime and 360 hours' standby.

The battery life is very impressive and the gesture control is an appealing gimmick.

The design looks and feels plasticy, and the manufacturer has failed to make the most of the available space.

With entry-level handsets becoming increasingly better looking, the Sony Ericsson Z555i will struggle to compete with more aesthetic handsets
