Sony Ericsson Yari review

Although it doesn't include Wi-Fi, Sony Ericsson's Yari does come with 3G support and GPS. The Yari also offers a regular 2.4in screen, capable of displaying 256K colours at 240x320. It's a slider phone with an alpha-numeric keypad; a 5MP camera and an...

Sony Ericsson's Yari plays it a little too safe. As a result, the Yari is a decent product but something that will probably be completely forgotten in a couple of months.

With its Nintendo Wii-like gesture controls, the Sony Ericsson Yari is looking to oust the iPhone as the casual gamers number one handset

Not the Wii-like game-changer we were hoping for but a solid and playful multimedia mid-ranger

Sony Ericsson Yari review -

Well executed motion gaming, speedy browser, Facebook app, high quality build

No 3.5mm audio jack or adaptor, one of Sony Ericsson's lesser cameras

Sony Ericsson Yari review

November 2009 By Olav Hellesø-Knutsen The Yari is a slider model with almost the same size as Nokia N85 and Sony Ericsson W760. Out first impression was: solid build quality using the right materials without the cheap plastic feeling. Yari reminds me...

Sony Ericsson Yari

The Yari follows on from the Sony Ericsson F305 with gesture controlled gaming. It's stylish and feature packed with a 5 megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity.

Motion based gaming controls.

Design of the phone is ordinary and plain, in contrast to its gaming prowess.

Sony Ericsson Yari

A fun little handset that tests the water for Wii-style gesture-recognition gaming on a mobile.

The Sony Ericsson Yari scores pretty well in the light/bushel stakes. It has the appearance of a bog standard SE mid to low ender, but manages to pack in a decent music player and web browser, a fine camera and the latest in SE's gaming technology, as...

Sony Ericsson Yari review

The Sony Ericsson Yari isn't like other phones. With its motion sensing “gesture gaming”, this next-gen slab of wizardry is trying to cash in on the flailing limbs craze started by the Nintendo Wii. Does it work on a phone though? Read our Sony...

Gesture gaming, solid, slick build

No 3.5mm jack or Wi-Fi, limited number of games

The motion sensing games are a fun USP, but the Yari is our favourite Sony Ericsson slider yet on build alone

Sony Ericsson Yari review

The game's the thing. Or at least it is with Sony Ericsson's Yari. One of a tranche of new handsets with peculiar made-up names from Sony Ericsson, this one goes for broke in an area which almost all mobile phones cover but few push to the fore....
