The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the 5.7-inch smartphone successor to the Note 4, arguably one of the standout phones of 2014. So it's somewhat surprising that Samsung has taken the decision not to bring its new phablet to the UK.
Sleek, glass design ; Speedy overall performance ; Great camera ; Slimmer design makes it easier to hold in one hand
S Pen experience not radically improved ; Smaller battery ; No micro SD card support or removable battery

Note 5 puts the phab in phablet with a stylus and stylish makeover
Slick glass-backed design ; Record-break specs ; Stunning camera quality ; Handy S Pen stylus
Expensive ; No microSD card slot ; No removable battery ; Limited to a few countries
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 requires two hands and a pile of cash, but it's the best Android phone with a large screen, a stylus and an accurate camera. Just don't look for it to have a microSD card, removable battery – or availability outside the US.

Take Note - we love this phone
Nice design ; Good S Pen use
Only as powerful as S6 ; Battery life lower

We have to admit, our mouths gaped open when we were told that Samsung has strategically decided to not launch the Galaxy Note 5 in the UK. Instead, it will initially only be available in North America and select Asian markets.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Hands-On Review @ IFA 2015: IFA gave us the opportunity to go hands-on with Samsung's biggest and brightest handset yet.
Stunning design ; Killer screen ; Excellent camera
Expensive ; Unconfirmed for the UK ; Fingerprint magnet
There’s a lot to love about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, primarily thanks to its killer hardware, beautiful design and unique feature set, but locking away the battery and storage will sting many long-time Note fans..

Samsung's new flagship Note 5 phablet is here, and we're big fans
Great screen ; Great camera ; Great design
Non-expandable memory ; Not available everywhere (yet)
Stylus plus style is a great combo. Better than ever

The Note 5 boasts a redesigned stylus and a giant screen -- and a price tag to match. It has a few flaws, and this modest upgrade of last year's Note will feel the heat from a growing battalion of cheaper competitors.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an eye-catching design and high-end hardware, and it takes great outdoor photos. Using the stylus has never felt better and battery life is terrific.
With a nonremovable battery and no external storage option, the Note 5 strips away some of last year's features. It's pricey compared with large-screen competitors like Motorola's Moto X Pure.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 is excellent overall, and the only phone to buy if you want to write by hand. However, you'll pay a huge premium for a modest upgrade from last year's model, and less pricey competitors will satisfy many.

A formidable smartphone in every imaginable way; if only Samsung would see fit to releasing it in the UK
