Samsung Galaxy A03s

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is a basic smartphone that's neither cheap enough nor good enough to warrant your money.

Attractive design ; Strong battery life

Agonisingly slow performance ; Unreliable fingerprint scanner ; Poor camera

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is a basic smartphone that’s neither cheap enough nor good enough to warrant your money. It offers decent battery life and it looks pretty good, but performance and camera quality are severely lacking. You can get practically...

Samsung Galaxy A03s review

The Samsung Galaxy A03s is of the latter kind - it's one of the cheapest phones you can find with Samsung's name on it. It packs enough to make for an intriguing offer, though - a large 6.5" display, a triple camera, and a massive battery with...

Solid build, good grip. Large screen with excellent contrast. Outstanding battery life. The daylight camera quality is good. Relatively recent Android and solid OneUI Core. 3.5mm jack, microSD, NFC.

More powerful phones at that price. Dull screen colors. Sluggish charger, no fast charging support. Poor sounding speaker (even if loud). Subpar performance, lag is occasional. Poor selfies, videos.

The Galaxy A03s is a good entry-level smartphone - that's undeniable. It has a good screen, a reliable battery, a recent Android OS with OneUI interface, and a non-nonsense primary camera. Unfortunately, the A03s feels overpriced for what it offers -...

Samsung Galaxy A03s review: Growing up, but slowly

Samsung's Galaxy A03s takes a few baby steps toward adulthood. The fingerprint reader and updated base RAM and storage give it a little bit of extra punch, but they don't quite go far enough to counterbalance the sluggish performance and lacking...

Higher base RAM and storage Solid battery life Finally, a fingerprint reader Long-term software support

Laggy performance Secondary cameras are lacking Plastic build feels cheap Very slow charging

Samsung’s Galaxy A03s is a decent option among sub-$200 smartphones and a fair fit for those looking at the Galaxy A03s as a first smartphone or an option for those on a tight budget. It’s the most affordable way to enter Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem,...

Samsung Galaxy A03s review: Better than last year's, it's a barebones phone well worth its price

Samsung's gotten its budget phones down to a science; as such, the Galaxy A03s isn't much different from the Galaxy A02s that came before it. It still has a 720p LCD at 60Hz and the same set of not-very-good cameras. And even though it comes with...

Fingerprint sensor works well More RAM and storage than predecessor More durable than I thought it would be

Sluggish performance Cameras are not very good

As someone typically running with some sort of flagship phone as my daily driver, be that a Google Pixel, a Samsung S-series, or even an iPhone, the Galaxy A03s took me a little while to get used to. However, if you are a budget phone expert, you won't...
