Samsung Epix (AT&T) review: Samsung Epix (AT&T)

Samsung Epix (AT&T)

The Samsung Epix features a touch screen and optical mouse that makes device navigation easier. The smartphone also offers Windows Mobile 6.1 and all the wireless fixings (Wi-Fi, HSPDA, Bluetooth, and GPS).

The QWERTY keyboard is a bit stiff, which led to a number of errors. You can't use the Epix as a wireless modem for your laptop. No built-in 3.5mm headphone jack.

While not a must-have upgrade for Samsung BlackJack II owners, the Samsung Epix expands the capabilities and usability of the messaging-centric smartphone with the addition of a touch screen, optical mouse, and Wi-Fi.

Samsung Epix Review

Samsung has been perfecting their own smart phone lineup for some time now with each device that it releases. Over the past couple of years, Samsung's BlackJack line has been the most popular QWERTY smart phone series in AT&T's selection. Now enters...

Samsung Epix Review

This device includes both a touchscreen and an optical mouse. It also has a small QWERTY keyboard, 3G support, and Wi-Fi

Extensive feature set ; Great battery life ; Exceptional RF performance

Optical mouse less precise than a directional pad ; Some software glitches

A robust and for the most part well designed smartphone whose few small flaws are set against a lot of advantages

Review: Samsung Epix

Samsung churns out another Windows Mobile smartphone. This one fails to stir the emotions, but it will get the job done.

Review: Samsung Epix

I'm a huge fan of Windows Mobile 6.1 and the BlackJack II. For those reasons I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Samsung Epix. If you're not familiar with the Samsung Epix (a.k.a. SGH-i907) it looks like the BlackJack II but packs a touch screen and...

Samsung Epix Review - Pocket PC Central Review of the Samsung Epix (AT&T)

Several years ago, a company called ThinkOutside (now iGo) released a small Bluetooth mouse for Windows Mobile devices. I saw the product as little more than a gimmick; why would anyone want to use a mouse with a handheld? The company must have seen a...

The Epix is one of the better Windows Mobile devices to surface in late 2008. It's a powerful device, it's affordable at $199 with service (lower at other retailers), and the included touchpad mouse allows you to use the not-so-touch-friendly Windows...

Samsung Epix Cellphone

There was something wrong with every phone I had. Either they made phone calls from my bag, short battery life, not enough options, too many options, cant find anything, takes forever to send a text message… there was always something. Until I found...

Samsung Epix Windows Mobile Phone

I bought the Samsung Epix (SGH-i907) to replace an aging Nokia phone. In fact, I ordered the Epix through AT&T's website long before it was ever available in the retail stores. This was actually my first “smart phone” and all-in-all I am impressed.
