RIM Blackberry 7130e

The 7130e is one of the few BlackBerry devices that lacks a QWERTY keyboard--and we miss it.

Compatible with multiple e-mail clients, Supports speedy EvDO network

Lacks a camera, Poor call quality

RIM Blackberry 7130E Phone

There's plenty to like about RIM's BlackBerry 7130e, especially its roomy screen, its compatibility with multiple e-mail clients, and its broadband-level data connections. Unfortunately, this standard cell phone also has some major flaws, especially...

Compatible with multiple e-mail clients Supports speedy EvDO network

Lacks a camera Poor call quality

If you want a BlackBerry and can live without broadband speed, consider choosing a different model, such as the 8700c or the 7250. At $300 (as of April 7, 2006, with a two-year Verizon contract), the 7130e is too pricey for its mediocre call performance

RIM BlackBerry 7130e

The 7130e offers a bright and speedy way to check e-mail, surf the Web, and, best of all, hook up your laptop to Verizon's EV-DO network.

EV-DO high-speed data. Bright color screen.

No voice dialing. Mediocre battery life.

BlackBerry 7100 review: BlackBerry 7100

RIM BlackBerry 7100g Research in Motion's slim, lightweight 7100 series makes its way to Cingular Wireless with the arrival of the RIM BlackBerry 7100g. Nearly identical to T-Mobile's BlackBerry 7100t , this new addition to the 7100 family boasts the...

The slim and trim RIM BlackBerry 7100g features a bright display and a pseudo-QWERTY keypad in a slim and trim package. It also has Bluetooth, and it syncs with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and BlackBerry servers.

The BlackBerry 7100g's modified keyboard takes some time to master, and the Bluetooth works only with wireless headsets. The 7100g also lacks a instant-messaging client, and Java apps are not downloadable.

Cingular subscribers looking for on-the-go e-mail access in a slim, lightweight device will warm to the RIM BlackBerry 7100g--that is, if they're patient with the tricky keypad.

BlackBerry 7130e

The BlackBerry 7130e is an expensive undertaking, but if you're a mobile professional the cost is undoubtedly justified.

Constant access to up to 10 e-mail accounts wherever you are. Good battery life. Vibrant 240x260 display. Doubles as an EV-DO modem for your notebook or desktop PC. Slim, phone-oriented design doesn’t look dorky when held up to your ear. Handy LED...

Fairly pricey. Uncomfortable for lefties. Two keys share each button, which makes e-mailing more tedious than on the data-oriented BlackBerry models.

The BlackBerry 7130e is an expensive undertaking, but if you’re a mobile professional the cost is undoubtedly justified.

You are never offline with this Black-baby...

Broadband Internet capability, huge display, auto on/off, and Bluetooth...

Should come in a flip version too...

This is my first Blackberry but I am very impressed with its performance, quality, and the way it is built.

BlackBerry 7130e Review

Reasonable, but not superior, battery life, Good keypad. SureType helps but does not equal a full keyboard

Somewhat cumbersome software, A bit bulky, at 4.70 ounces, but still smaller than regular BlackBerry devices, Speakerphone volume could be higher

Good productivity phone with some software annoyances. Mostly for those who need mobile email more than anything else.
