Pantech Perception (Verizon Wireless)

The Pantech Perception for Verizon Wireless isn't perfect, but its favorable price-to-feature ratio proves that the midrange smartphone is better than ever.

Good price. Fast performance. World phone.

Still runs Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Lots of bloatware. Cluttered, heavily modified UI.

Pantech Perception review

Pantech has been quietly making pretty good, inexpensive phones for Verizon and AT&T for years. Like many of its brothers and sisters, Verizon's Pantech Perception is the kind of device you won't want to overlook if you're in the market for an...

Pantech's Perception has a nice big screen, a large battery, and a very reasonable price tag. I like its 'edgy' design.

Camera performance on the Perception faltered, and the phone didn't seem to channel Verizon's LTE network with maximum speed. Call quality underperformed.

Consider the Pantech Perception if you're deciding among $100 smartphones, but you'll get more for your money with a discounted Samsung Galaxy S3 or other last-season phones.

Attractive appearance ; 4.8” 720p Super AMOLED display ; Global Roaming capable

Outdated Android Ice Cream Sandwich ; Calls sound too digital and unnatural ; Poor camera and video recording quality

If we were back in January, the Pantech Perception would be a halfway decent mid-level smartphone for the price. But as we mentioned earlier, with higher end devices from last year being discounted down to under $100 on-contract, it is really a tough...

Review: Pantech Perception for Verizon Wireless

The Pantech Perception is a good mid-range Android smartphone for Verizon Wireless that offers a lot of bang for the buck, including LTE 4G, an HD display, and an 8-megapixel camera.
