With all the hype over Motorola's Razr , it's easy to forget the company still produces handsets that aren't all about style. Take T-Mobile's Motorola V195 for instance. Designed with simplicity in mind, it makes no effort to chase the thin-phone...
The Motorola V195 has well-designed controls and a decent feature set, including Bluetooth, world phone support, and a speakerphone.
The Motorola V195 audio quality had static at times in our tests.
Despite varying call quality, the Motorola V195 is a solid choice as a basic cell phone.

A tribute: I just gave in and got an iPhone 4s, but I am keeping my battered but sturdy little Motorola V195. It's 2012 and this phone is still going strong 6 years later. The battery still lasts for a week if I don't make a lot of calls! It's kind of...
Battery life Lots of features for such a basic phone Built to last Good reception. In 6 years it maybe dropped 2 calls. Never a complaint about audio quality.
High radiation levels - 1.6 watts per kilogram, which is the maximum amount of radiation allowed by the FCC in the US and Canada. This info is easy to find online, and a number of reviews exists for this phone.

Spend a little more and get a worse unlocked phone such as the palm centro.
Reliable, Great Quality. Like many other Motorola devices this had no issues with charging
None

If you want a reliable, simple, unlocked GSM phone with good sound quality and great battery life, then this is an awesome choice. And the price can't be beat!
This is one of the best basic GSM phones on the market. The sound quality is solid, reception is strong, and the battery life is absolutely amazing. (With regular use I got about 4-5 days between charges.) The bluetooth works well for syncing and with...
It has one of the highest radiation ratings of any phone on the market, a 1.6 SAR, I believe ; Underneath the main screen there are two tiny plastic panels hiding screws which are secured with weak glue. They came undone within about a year, exposing...

I hope it lasts. It was good for the price when I picked it up on the Shell Shocker. Thanks Newegg!
Pretty basic phone that does what it's supposed to. Unlocked phone, slid a T-Mobile SIM in it, works fine so far. Speaker feels a bit cartoony, but sound quality seems fine. It likes military time for some reason
Hope I didn't blow the speaker >.< A music player and a microSD slot would have been a nice plus, but for parents and people who just want a phone, this is great. OH! If you have the My Faves service with T-Mobile, this won't display them, but...

Its basic. Large number buttons. loud ring tones. Good for starters, seniors
NONE..if you are looking for just a phone
Consumer review (newegg.com)
I have about 7 cell phones in my household at the moment, and from all the phones I have had in the last 10 years or more... whether is a $30 or a $300 phone, I have never been able to find a phone with voice quality to match my 1st phone: an ericsson...
It works, has all the necessary 'basics" for a phone
except what a phone is all about: Voice quality. not worth more than $3 (for a back up phone, and even then....)
