Motorola Evoke QA4 (Cricket Wireless)

 

The Motorola Evoke QA4 is a fancy touch-screen Internet phone for cheap carrier Cricket Wireless.

Only touch-screen phone for Cricket. Very good voice quality. Cool Internet-based widget screens. Google contact integration and easy photo uploading.

No MMS or IM. Web browser has some issues. Interface can be sluggish. $15/month extra service fee.

If you set the Evoke up with a Gmail account, it will automatically sync its contact book with Gmail, so you don't have to enter contacts on the phone. That's quite neat (though I wish it did the same with its calendar.) The Evoke's e-mail program was...

The Motorola Evoke QA4 has a sturdy build and an attractive slider design. It offers good call quality and a useful set of integrated third-party applications.

The Evoke QA4's multimedia features are rather bland. It suffers from sluggish performance and an unintuitive touch screen.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 has its good points, but we couldn't get over its slow performance, average media features, and clunky touch screen. As such, it doesn't evoke much.
