REVIEW: LG VX9900 enV from Verizon Wireless

Make no mistake. The LG VX9900 enV from Verizon Wireless isn't going to steal any market share away from the BlackBerry, but it is quite the formidable alternative to the ubiquitous Sidekick 3 from T-Mobile. The enV is the latest in a line of mobile...

In this day and age, having a 3G connection on your smartphone shouldn't really be a selling feature. It should be a given, like saying that your smartphone has the ability to update Twitter or organize your schedule. Even so, it seems that one of the...

LG enV

Some phones just feel right in your hand. The enV is one of them. And with its long, narrow body (4.6 x 2.1 inches), it's also a pleasure to hold alongside your

Navigable menu system. Loud, clear speakerphone. Flash-equipped camera snaps sharp photos. V Cast music and video support

Video playback is rough. Internal 2.2-inch screen seems disproportionately small. No Wi-Fi. IM software treats each message as SMS, which could lead to huge bills. GPS and POP email services cost extra

LG Electronics enV VX9900 Cell Phone

The LG vx9900 EnV is a standard cell phone with a secret: At first glance, it looks like a slightly bulky, run-of-the-mill candy bar-style phone. But this phone opens horizontally to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Available from Verizon Wireless for...

Excellent keyboard ; Great messaging options

Bulky design ; Headphones and USB cable cost extra

The enV isn't the slimmest cell phone around, but it offers excellent messaging features and great multimedia options.

LG enV VX9900

The LG enV offers a wider keyboard, sharper camera, and stereo Bluetooth, plus the power of V CAST in a sleeker design than its predecessor.

Bigger display than Pearl • Excellent GPS system • Long battery life • Good data performance • Built-in media player

Keyboard a bit cramped • No camera• No stereo Bluetooth support

LG enV VX9900

The LG enV for Verizon Wireless is a terrific text-messaging device, but its e-mail options fall short.

Excellent keyboard and screen. 2-megapixel camera. Robust Bluetooth features.

E-mail options are limited. Poor Web browser. ; Watch the LG enV VX9900 Video Review!

LG EnV review:

The new LG EnV for Verizon Wireless has been one of the most anticipated cell phones of the autumn season. As the successor to the popular LG VX9800 , the EnV (or VX9900) inherits its predecessor's QWERTY keyboard, high-end feature set, and admirable...

The LG EnV offers an impressive feature set, an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard, and decent call quality.

The EnV's streaming video quality could be better, and the boxy design has its quirks. Also, its external display is small and not very useful.

The design still isn't perfect, but the LG EnV is a high-quality messaging and multimedia cell phone.

LG enV Review

With the rise in importance of text messaging and mobile email access, the integration of a full, QWERTY keyboard into cell phones has become an valued feature in phone technology. Until recently, mobile phone users desiring such a keyboard have relied...

The LG enV revolutionizes mobile phone design by neatly fitting multiple devices into a compact package. The phone backs up its shiny good looks with a nice 2.0-megapixel camera and a beautiful 262K-color internal screen
