The Kyocera Loft delivers solid messaging and voice quality for a very low monthly price, but it's low-rent otherwise.
Good QWERTY keyboard. Full-featured voice dialing. Ultra-cheap prepaid plans.
Short battery life. Terrible camera. No music, video, or camcorder. Can't transfer pictures from the phone easily.
Apps, Camera, and Conclusions The main menu consists of 12 almost identical red icons in a grid pattern; switching to List mode makes it much easier on the eyes. The e-mail and IM client is exceedingly basic; at least the e-mail client picks up Gmail...

With its Loft S2300, Kyocera once again offers Virgin Mobile customers a messaging-centric phone with a full keyboard. Sporting a simple, BlackBerry-like design, the Loft is a departure from the earlier Kyocera X-tc and Wild Card , but it manages to...
The Kyocera Loft offers a fair number of messaging options and a user-friendly interface. You also get Bluetooth and voice dialing.
The Kyocera Loft's phone book only offers caller ID for groups and call quality had some static. Its headset jack is 2.5mm, and its keyboard feels cramped.
If you don't mind the keyboard and the occasional static during calls the Kyocera Loft is an accessible and functional messaging phone for Virgin Mobile.

This is a pretty bad phone, given that its features are not very user friendly and it's not worth $50 or so.
None. None at all.

While I basically like the phone, I will probably drop Virgin Mobile. A perfect example is the poor customer service I experienced last month. When I paid for a month's service with my credit card, I received a message that my payment wasn't accepted....
Easy To Use

Awkward Keypad
Consumer review (radioshack.com)
This phone is nice, I've had it for about 3 weeks now. Great for texting and emails but I don't like the fact that it only holds 250 texts in the inbox and 50 in the outbox. I was surprised that the camera actually takes pretty good pictures. Sometimes...
