The Huawei P8's octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and high-quality camera proves it's serious about going toe-to-toe with the big boys. The fact that it's considerably cheaper than the likes of the iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S6, or even the HTC One M9, makes...
Creative camera features ; High-end design ; Mid-range price ; Solid battery life ; Great screen
Some App crashing issues ; Minor performance lag

Huawei aims to make a name for itself with this Apple-inspired smartphone...
Vibrant colours ; Supports hi-res audio ; Strong camera ; Good build
Picture needs stronger contrast ; Sound needs more refinement
A more affordable way to get the premium smartphone experience

A slick, svelte smartphone that tries to give the big boys a run for their money
Premium design ; Decent display ; Feature packed camera ; Attractive price
Emotion UI remains ; Slightly laggy performance
The Huawei P8 has all the right ingredients for a top smartphone, but something's not quite gone to plan in the baking stage. The lower price point certainly helps, but the mainstream flagships can rest easy.

It's been a curious year for flagship smartphones so far: from the impressive highs of the Samsung Galaxy range revamp, with the company's S6 and S6 edge, to the oh-it's-the-same-again HTC One in its M9 form . Sitting in among them is Huawei, with its...
Affordable, majority of design is on point, tiny bezel design, microSD card expansion, camera is impressive
EMUI interface annoyances, battery life ought to be better, processor has heat and power consumption issues
Oh Huawei, so near yet oh so far. The P8 has glimmers of brilliance that are marred by sub-par software and, in some scenarios, processor and battery limitations due to heat dissipation. And when an outsider needs to impress right across the board to...

Can the Huawei P8 take on the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and iPhone 6?
The Huawei P8 has excellent design and build for a price lower than other flagship rivals. On the whole hardware is decent too, particularly in the photography department. However, poor performance and buggy software taint the experience to frustrating...

Huawei's best ultra-premium Android phone yet
Ultra-reliable camera ; High-grade bodywork ; Cheaper than the competition
Variable battery stamina ; No fingerprint scanner, IR or WiFi ac ; Quirk-tastic software
Huawei’s gaining on the smartphone big boys – the P8’s not perfect, but at this price it’s well worth a look
Expert review by : Andrew Hoyle (cnet.co.uk)
The Huawei P8 packs a host of high-end tech into a slim, all-metal body and doesn't charge the Earth for it.
The Huawei P8 has a bright and bold screen, a sleek, all-metal body, plenty of power and a decent camera.
The camera quality suffers at full screen and Huawei's custom software makes drastic changes to the Android interface which won't appeal to everyone.
The Huawei P8 lacks some of the shine of its flagship phone rivals, but it still delivers an uncompromising mix of features and performance for a far cheaper price.

Huawei's first 2015 flagship phone, the P8, is as frustrating as it is impressive, with a seriously good camera offset by software issues.
Strong camera ; Attractive design ; Decent battery life
Software 'funnies' ; No Quad HD screen
Huawei’s P8 is impressive in so many ways. The camera is one of the best around, almost hitting the dizzy heights of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 snapper, while the sleek design and decent battery life are also highlights. However, the myriad of software issues...

The Huawei P8 is part of the Chinese company's attempt to take on the likes of Samsung and Apple. With its sleek metal casing it certainly has the looks. But does it have the processing power and stamina in the battery department to rival the best...

A strong camera and affordable price make this Chinese smartphone a very enticing option
Excellent design; Spectacular camera; Very capable display
'Knuckle Sense' sometimes interferes with touch controls; Could be a little cheaper
With a very reasonable pricetag and a rather excellent camera, the Huawei P8 is a pretty compelling mid-range handset. It’s not perfect, but if you’re looking for quality on a budget, you could do a lot worse.
