REVIEW: BlackBerry Curve 8330 from Bell Mobility

The BlackBerry Curve, in all of its different incarnations, has been available to GSM providers for quite a while now and it is only recently that Research in Motion decided to plunk a CDMA radio into the thing. Bell Mobility, one of Canada's two...

At the end of the day, the BlackBerry Curve 8330 from Bell Mobility is not exactly a revolutionary device, because we've already had the opportunity to toy with a Curve in GSM land. Even so, I feel that it is probably the best BlackBerry available from...

BlackBerry Curve 8330 Sprint review

We imagine Sprint customers have been waiting a long time for this, but the time has finally come. Yes, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 is now available, and it brings the same great design of its GSM counterparts and even adds 3G to boot. Like the RIM...

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 offers integrated GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and EV-DO. The compact smartphone continues to offer solid messaging capabilities and includes support for a number of features that the Verizon model does not.

The BlackBerry Curve 8330 lacks Wi-Fi, and call quality wasn't the greatest.

Despite some spotty call quality, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 for Sprint is a great messaging device with the bonus of EV-DO and integrated GPS. Plus, it offers more services than the Verizon BlackBerry Curve.

RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 (Sprint)

Sprint's version of the Curve 8330 is the best one yet, with robust multimedia options and solid voice quality.

Near-perfect design, including an exceptional keyboard. Built-in GPS. Solid voice quality. Top-notch e-mail handling. Robust software bundle.

Still no document editing. No Wi-Fi. Poorly placed microSDHC card slot.

RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 (Verizon)

The Curve 8330 is Verizon's best smartphone, offering all the business capability you'd expect from a BlackBerry, but with a stylish and comfortable design and enhanced multimedia features.

Near-perfect design, including an exceptional keyboard. Stellar voice quality. Well-balanced feature set, including integrated GPS.

Still no document editing. IM client is weak. No Wi-Fi or mobile TV. Poorly placed microSDHC card slot.

BlackBerry Curve 8330 review

Just as Sprint has been long overdue for the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330, so has Verizon Wireless . However, the time has come for the carrier, and we're happy to say it was worth the wait. With its full QWERTY keyboard and well-rounded feature set, the...

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 for Verizon Wireless offers integrated Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone also delivers good call quality and strong messaging capabilities with a full QWERTY keyboard.

Unlike Sprint, Verizon doesn't offer support for its 3G streaming media services on the BlackBerry Curve 8330.

Though we wish the smartphone supported Verizon's VCast multimedia services, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 is still an excellent smartphone that delivers on call quality and of course, e-mail.

Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8330

RIM's work-and-play smart phone for Verizon Wireless delivers strong call quality and some of the speediest browsing around.

The Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8330 is an excellent device for those who are looking for a messaging device that knows how to have some fun. Though Verizon Wireless also offers the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition that connects to both CDMA and GSM...

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330

RIM's smallest BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keyboard hooks up with Sprint's Music Store and TV, making this a great smart phone for work and play.

Sprint’s Curve 8330 is no doubt a powerhouse in terms of multimedia, although Sprint TV is more stable and compelling than the Sprint Music Store on this device. Add in the high-speed Web surfing over EV-DO and the Curve’s always great keyboard, and...

BlackBerry Curve 8330 (Alltel)

On Alltel's network, the Curve sounds as beautiful as ever. Reception is excellent, and volume is pretty much perfect, with no distortion even at the top level. And the speakerphone is loud and clear. Curves are among the best voice phones we've...

Excellent voice quality. Easy to use. Terrific keyboard

No AIM or GPS apps

Sprint's model is still the best of the Curves, but this BlackBerry will satisfy Alltel users looking to stay connected.
