The Archos 50 Platinum is really a phone for those who need or want access to dual-SIM card functionality - a rare thing in the UK. Usually this would be business users, or those who travel a lot. Now that doesn't sound typical of Archos, the company...

Archos is a company you may have heard of before as it's one that has been in the tablet game for some time now. However, its tablet offerings, usually budget Android arrangements, have so far been relatively unsuccessful at breaking into the mainstream.
Nice screen, Good camera, Stock Android 4.1
Unreliable performance, Low onboard storage
So close and yet so far. The Archos 50 Platinum has a lot of nice surprises but the one or two unpleasant ones regarding performance put a damper on the whole experience
