Dell XPS 14 (2024) Review

The XPS range hasn't had the best couple of years. Now, its two versions have been merged and sizes rejigged. Enter, the Dell XPS 14.

Brilliant OLED display ; Unique design ; Solid graphical performance

Heavy ; Middling battery life

The new Dell XPS 14 is a boost for the range, with a hybrid approach that stands out from the crowd. There’s plenty of processing power with enough graphics chops to be a decent option for entry-level PC gaming. The stylish design is intriguing but may...

Dell XPS 14

A beautifully designed MacBook Pro rival with great specs.

Solid unibody aluminium chassis with soft-touch, Excellent battery life, Flexible specs including 3G, High-res screen, Good value

Chunky and heavy, TN screen with average viewing angles, No touch for Windows 8 (yet?)

Dell XPS 14z

Lighter and thinner than the 13in MacBook Pro, yet packing a 14in screen into its compact chassis, this premium laptop is both sexy and powerful.

Looks good, Feels even better, 14in screen in 13in chassis, Comfortable backlit keyboard, Slim yet powerful

Average screen, Awkward connectivity, Only two USB ports, Mediocre battery life

Dell XPS 14 (9440) review: the middle ground

Dell's 14-inch offering sits in between the XPS 13's greater portability and XPS 16's greater power. So is it a winner?

Excellent battery life ; Strong performance for most tasks

Somewhat heavier and bulkier than the XPS 13 ; Gaming performance isn’t enough to drive the 3.2K OLED screen

The 2024 model of the XPS 14 (codename 9440) tries to be the porridge in the middle: more powerful than the XPS 13, but smaller than the XPS 16. It works, especially with the gorgeous OLED screen option. But the screen is let down somewhat by a single...

Dell XPS 14 9440 review: a stunning laptop that gives Windows users a real MacBook competitor

Dell's newest XPS model delivers fantastic performance in a stunning package

Powerful new processor ; Stunning 3.2k OLED ; Holds its own against the MacBook Pro 14-inch

Gets expensive quickly ; Touchbar and trackpad are accessibility challenges ; Battery life falls well short of the MacBook Pro

The Dell XPS 14 is a fantastic new entry into the storied XPS lineup, and it gives the MacBook Pro 14-inch its strongest competition yet thanks to its gorgeous OLED display, powerful processor and GPU, and svelte design. The XPS 14 isn't cheap,...

Dell XPS 14 review

Dell's XPS line gets bigger

Excellent look and feel ; bright screen ; plenty of options

Not cheap ; SSD options expensive ; Design a bit Apple-derived

We thought the XPS 13 was brilliant, but it had one problem - screen real estate. The XPS 14 solves this and is a really rather fine laptop. The XPS 13 wasn't the cheapest Ultrabook around and neither is the XPS 14, but we're really looking forward to...

Dell XPS 14z review

Our favourite multimedia machine of 2011 just slimmed down with Dell's XPS 14z

Solid and robust ; Attractive design ; Portable multimedia dream

Lack of ports ; Gamers left out of equation

Dell XPS 14z review

An ultraportable version of our favourite multimedia laptop

Slim and light multimedia machine ; Excellent battery life ; Sandy Bridge technology ; Slick design ; Fantastic keyboard

Dim screen ; Less graphically able than 15z ; Stingy ports

We first checked out Dell's XPS 14z at IFA, a slightly dinkier version of its excellent XPS 15z laptop. The XPS 14z hits stores today and we've already spent a few days snuggling up and getting to know it.

Dell XPS 14 and XPS 15 pictures and hands-on - Pocket-lint

Dell has introduced two new ultrabooks to its XPS range in the shape of the XPS 14 and XPS 15 and Pocket-lint has been lucky enough to get some hands-on

Dell XPS 14z

Dell has some stiff competition at the moment. Apple has never been stronger in laptops, its Pro and Air ranges are some of the nicest-looking and more powerful computers on the market. Then there are Intel's new darlings, the Ultrabooks , lapping up a...

Design, keyboard and trackpad, battery life

Low resolution screen, disappointing amount of cack software installed, fan noise

In some ways, it's a little hard to tell what market this laptop is aimed at. It's a powerful enough machine for home use. The problem is, an i7 with more memory would be the minimum spec needed for a high-end setup for video editing and gaming.
