Tritton AX360 review

Tritton's AX360 headphones are a comfortable and solidly built set of cans that completely enclose your ears.

The ultimate gaming headphones

The Tritton Technologies AX360 is the latest in gaming headphones. Now these headphones do more than just provide better sounding games, it immerses you in your games like you have never felt before. I consider myself a pretty hardcore gamer and Im...

Everything breaks on these.

Sounded fine

Breaks easily. Mic went out in 1 month, headset out in 2 months

Not worth the money

I was really excited to get this product, and was quickly relieved of that feeling. After about 1 month of usage, the microphone died. Wire broke because the extension cable pulls down on the back of it. Replaced mic, 2 days later, the extension fails....

Ok, once you are able to get your volume levels balanced - when they were working

poor microphone design ; low quality headphones ; no separate voice channel; part of center channel, and so gets drowned out quickly on EVERY game ; poor customer support; has not responded to any support requests outside of "Live Support" which is...

Not for the Price

For fun and games these are great headphones and most people will enjoy them. They do have a higher price tag but have lots of features to help help make up for it. Hope my review helps you. scale 0/5 Performance 4 || Quality 3 || Features 5 P.S....

They do have nice features like Digital Input, External Amp ; eight speaker Surround sound, Long cord and are Comfortable ; I bought these to hook to my Xbox and PC. The digital mode switch is nice lets me hook my Xbox up via optical and PC...

The bad things about these is the cord on them is thin and will wear quickly if you move around allot. Also You can't help but notice that the headband is a somewhat thin plastic that feels like it might break if you ever accidentally drop them. The...

Love them!

The mic is great, no probs so far, but I dislike the mount clip. Kinda cheesy. Why they did it this way is odd considering how Tritton did it with the AXP version for PC. Still, overall a solid headset for gaming that sounds really great when you...

Awesome for gaming on X-box! They do produce a little digital audio buzz, but I haven't fully explored the DSP functions yet. I'm sure that I can remove most of the hiss, but for right out of the box they sound great. They are a little heavy, not like...

Aside from being a little heavy, is the cord. I could have gone with an IR set but you have to maintain a line of sight for those, so separation drop outs occur with those systems. The cord is long enough to give ample play space so you not glued to...

Second look, not so good

The optical cable that comes with it is junk. All the reviews saying the sound quality isn't so great and that there is noticeable crackling and beeping at low volume, that's the optical cable. I bought a $27 monster cable replacement, and it's...

Second review, this time I have some important things I've learned to share. I didn't notice before because I was not using the box unit that comes with it (I had it on a computer with the multi-plug adapter)

Every time the audio single refreshes the volume resets to max volume ; Say you're using your computer, and decide to start up your PS3. You turn the PS3 on, and switch the ax360 box from coax in to optical in. Suddenly, you hear your PS3 start up at...

Fell apart on me.

Don't buy these.

Decent sound

First time I put them on the left earmuff fell off. I put it back on, but then the right one fell off! I ended up taping them on, which sometimes gets stuck in my hair. The mic is now broken because of poor wiring. The cord from the plug on my left...

Sweet

In order to get these sounding really good required a lot of tweaking. Initially I had some hissing and popping but playing with the sample rate fixed that. If you want to get the best possible sound out of these you need to use a digital connection...

Crisp, clear sound. Fiber Connection. Dolby Digital and Pro Logic. These can get VERY loud if you crank them

If you want to use a digital connection you need a separate adapter (not included in the package) to use the mic with a computer. These headphone are pretty heavy my neck hurts a little bit after using them for awhile, I have to take a break

Not so good

Consider the AXpros or another set instead.

Comfortable, has capability for dolby digital. Sound is passable. Nice of them to include the optical cable. Cord is pretty long

Broke after 3 months of use, headband-earcup strap area is much too flimsy. Mic is horrible, pretty much impossible to use with PC. Slight static is heard when there is no sound. Surround sound is not very good but hey, it is a headset ; I really wish...
